just wondering if we would be allowed to buy/sell members pins and stuff in the SSRL section? cause i just recently got scammed 1.4m on sythe, and tried to get scammed by another 2 guys while buying pins. in total, a lot of time wasted. so im thinking, we're all trusted in this section, so to have a scammer free black market thing would be great. it wouldnt attract scammers or trouble, since scammers would never get in here :)

I'm sure some SSRL members can help you find a good PIN seller, though.

In theory it could work, but….Imagine what would happen if it doesnt work! Imagine the unimaginable…you get scammed by a SSRL-Member. (Opportunity makes the Thief) All of a sudden it would become a Board's problem. Admins would need to interfere, and we would have to judge and punish…..I dont like the sound of that at all. Best we stayed faaaaaar from profit/money/pin/trade etc.

But if you want we could poll, and if a majority is in favour, we could set it up, but I wont take any responsibility, for in my view this will lead to nothing but trouble.

On the other hand, I know there are trusted SSRL-members that are willing to sell pins, it happens behind the Boards back…which I am fine with, as long as its PM <-> PM and as long as it is TRUSTED.

yeh that's true, it would be a big hassle if someone scammed someone else, which could of course happen….at the moment though, thats a pretty big if imo. but perhaps if this goes ahead, we could put a limit on the amount that could be traded at one time? i mean, no trades above 5m, or $20 or whatever, just to ward off the chances of someone becoming greedy and scamming? or we could possibly have some sort of "trade counter", which for every good trade you do you get 1 point, and when you reach 10 points then you are allowed to trade $50, or 10m or something.

because it would be so convenient, to have a scam-free place to trade all your runescape stuff where everyone is trusted.

Also, I know Jagex used TO's black market as an excuse to shut them down for a while… lets stay away from all RS <-> RL…

But a RS <-> RS market would be nice, and maybe a Pin market…

but tbh, there isn't that great a danger. I mean, pins are at mix 1M, witch isn't a lot to most of the people here, and everyone here is trusted enough to get SSRL, and I completely trust most of the people here, and I don't know the rest so I cant judge.

However maybe a MM thing could be set up or something…

Most of the people here are trusted enough to be MM's… But just a pin market sounds ok, once a pin seller is established, it wouldn't be too risky.

We already have that a rs - rs market. And really does anyone here sell pins? I dont think so. SO whats the point lol

but if someone wanted to sell a pin, which might happen they could lol. cause i wanna buy some but cant find anyone trusted :(

nah i dont want to buy it with cash, seeing as ill just be putting them on one or more of my macroers. and i dunno who sells them, but fawki said above that some people do

I don't think SSRL should have a "market" per say but I do think that *If anyone wants* if we where to combine our collective autoed goods into a few accounts and another account that has "Pickaxes, Axes, Nets, Fishing Poles, Runes, ect" That everyone could use for testing scripts or just access autoed goods that people can't use / don't want then everyone would have access to things they need as well as a good compendium of items to make DTM's out of or Bitmaps, ect. Although I fear that if we did this someone would get the wise idea to just use the stuff for running characters instead of testing therefore abusing the system.

As far as the market goes I think its a bad idea, but I don't see anything wrong with P2P trading over PM's.

That's all i would use it for also, just pins
