SRL Archive - Celebratory Events

Well, as some know, some don't, I have been neglected to post my millenium for about a month now as you can see from my activity bar. But, now that my internets at a snails pace and I'm currently rather bored I figure I may as well and go ahead and post it.

Let's see, I believe I joined SRL a year ago, and in that time, I've seen so many great people join and leave, some joined before me but also left before me, but it still had the same emotional effect on me.

I'm not much of a scripter, infact I can't even script, once attempted a simple color clicking script, it failed horribly. And yet, due to the kindness of the people of SRL, I was still made a member. Believe it or not, that one in my top ten happiest moments of my life. I remember exactly what happened that day, I got home from school depressed because well, it's school, I turned on my computer, got on SRL. Responded to some threads, and it was on, "What do you LOVE about the person above you?" thread, that someone pointed out I had SRL Membership and a teddy bear, I honestly couldn't believe my eyes, my mood instantly brightened and I started crying.. You know how a lot of people say, "I tried to learn to script, but I can't."? But then most people just think it's an excuse for being to lazy, but I was one of those people. Previous to that day, for about 2 months everyday I'd come home and I'd read some tuts, attempt to make random scripts that could spam forums for me, but every single one I failed, I bombed, it was useless. So eventually I gave up, thinking being a community member was all I'd ever be, for a while I believed that. Until Wizzup altered that thought forever. So here I am, still not able to produce a script worthy of someone looking at, yet I feel more attached to these forums then ever. I remember a long time ago, when I got on these forums, I forgot all my troubles, it was Nirvana in a sense for me, but then I started fading, then I started seeing my Post count getting ever so close to 1000, until at 999 I stopped posting for a month, I was still recieving email notifications, hell about 10 every five hours, if there was something that appalled me, interested me, or just made me laugh til' no end, I'd go to a random post, especially one I'm not proud of and delete it. Then I'd be able to post just one more time. I was posting at a rate of about 2 per month, and I expect my activity to be nil.

But, back on topic, I will not be posting a pic as it is one of the main reasons I've been avoiding posting my millenium. But if you guys beg enough, I just may.

So here it is, finally my millenium post, I'm not sure whether I'll get more active now, or just dwindle away until I can't remember the URL anymore.

And finally, my list of people for who I desperately need to thank.

-3garrett3, one of my closest friends on this forum.

-StupedSpam, heh, you always had a way to make me laugh and just brighten my mood. I thoroughly enjoyed knowing you.

-Hugolord, a good friend, although I don't know him too well, but from what limited time I have spent with him, we connect in very similar ways.

-pwnaz0r, couldn't have failed that color clicking script without him :). But he's always there when I needed him most :).

-Spork-eh, a long time ago I seem to remember having a very large argument with him. About his sigs and my editing I believe, or was that someone else? I don't know, but Spork, you're a great person, a Photoshop wis, if only you were there to help me with 3D modeling instead of Photoshop :).

-Nielsie95, scripter elite he may be, but he kept things simple, clean, great personality even if I may have spammed a couple of his topics he kept it cool, never flaming or insulting me. :).

-Hobbit, I like to call him my old buddy, even though his and most peoples ages are greater then mine, he always knew what to say and how to say it to appeal to both the older and younger generations of this forum.

-Wizzup, great person, one of the many people that I look up to and I'd love to become like him once I get older. Thank you for that single PM that changed my life.

-Jason2gs, a brilliantly talented person, he has a very bright future infront of him. Every now and then I find him on MSN, chat a bit even though 1/2 of what he says I don't understand, but his A-class personality makes up for that :).

-Boreas, one of my favorite people when I first joined the forum, even to the point of putting random quotes of his as my siggy. :)

-Hy71194, too be honest, I don't think we've talked much. Either that or your names too hard to remember so my brain can't corrospond your posts with your name :). But as I said with Hugo, you're a great person, and I just wish I couldn't gotten to know you better.

-Wt-Fakawi, even though I've never quite learned whether it was Fakawi, or Fakiwa, he deserves to be thanked for this wonderful forum and for the outstanding scripts that led me to SRL in the first place.

-To everyone else that I have missed and to everybody that I have mentioned, I want to thank you all so much for encouraging me, accepting me, shaping me, for believe it or not, you guys/girls have had such a tremendous affect on my life. I came to SRL a simple RS player who knew nothing of anything else, and now here I am working with possible some of the most complicated software existing today. And I want to thank you all for that. You've matured me, educated me, criticized me, all for the good.

I guess I should be ending this now, so I'd like to end with some quotes that I've attempted to live my life by.

Well now Dunceiam, the millinium post :d. I remember that simple colorpicking script b/c i attempted to help you with it. Little did I know then that i could barely do it myself (:) ). Anyways, i wish you would be more active. I have become more active and you stopped posting right about when i did. Anyways, good to hear from you again
