Ok sorry if this is the wrong section but it makes sence (to me) to put it here.

So the whole thing with donations is going a bit slow and with school starting and time zone issues I could uses a little help. So here is my idea. Maybe appoint a couple, probably like 2 or 3 more, people to help with collections. They will have limited access to the prize account. They will be able to log onto it and collect the donations and deposit with the bank deposit post in most banks because there is a pin on the account. Only SB and I know the number for the bank pin. So with things like giving out the prize it would probably be me doing it or SB, if need be.

Now onto the main idea. Maybe make a new rank/cup for the collectors. I think this would help to advertise and raise awareness of the fact people can donate and who to donate to. Like for me I like all the cups, I think it adds a nice touch to the community and I think if the donation collectors have a special cup and a rank like [BANANA]SRL Member/Collector[/BANANA] it would raise awareness a bit.

Please discuss and feel free to nominate any people you feel are trustworthy and right for a position for collection.

I have mixed feelings about this.
I like the idea, but I think someone would have to donate a lot to get the title (not a cup), not just 1 cabbage for 1 time.. maybe like 200k for 3 times (?) or something..
It's also a kind of "buying" a cup =\, that I don't like..

No no no, I dont mean people who donate get a cup. The people who collect the donations do so that people who want to donate know who to contact.

Like say you were a new person and you heard you could donate to the script competition prize. But oh no, you don't know who collects the prize. Then it just so happens one of the collectors posted in a thread your viewing and you see the title and/or cup.

But yes I'm in the same boat as you, I dont think people should be able to buy a cup

Oh that gives me an idea i should edit and see if it will let me put a poll in

Not the best and maybe a bit over done with the guy throwing money in the air but its hard to find pics for these cups

Hmm, someone to nominate to be a collector. Can I nominate myself? I'd love to do this, collecting some donations (including my own).

You can nominate yourself, doesn't mean you'll get it because I'll be asking other people's opinion on the nominated people.

Sure, I'm for the title also, No Cup…I'm not sure of the idea of Multiple people having access to the account though..maybe the designated collectors just hold it and make arrangements to trade Hobbit or Star to the account….BTW, don't forget not to do one sided transactions ;)

Is there not a deposit box in RS?

Without the pin they cannot open the bank right? And it takes like 7 days to get rid of a pin so it should be OK.

However, so far me and Hobbit have been able to handle it OK.

Yep, deposit box is good, was just concerned with the multiple I P address and one sided trading…maybe keep some noted junk in inventory…burnt fish,cabbages, etc…

And yes I'm with Ram I am a bit worried about multiple people myself but there has been some things that's fallen through because they are on like the other side of world and im sleeping or as school when they are on.

I'm to lazy, er..busy :p…but if you make another account or 2, I will be an "official collector' for you guys…then we can just make arrangements to trade to the main account..or you can with duel log…Ii just personally don't want to be responsible for the other account, if many people have access to it, etc…

Ok thats a good idea. Then even if we do happen to miss judge someones integrety maybe like another MOB and they do rip us off then it will only be that and absolutely no chance of getting to the whole thing. But if we do get more people there will be a lot of thinking and observing to choose the right people.

I'm going to have to stick with everyone else, I believe that Cups are supposed to show that you excel in something not to give you a particular title (Besides Dev's) but I think the title or the colored name would be a good idea.

No, It's like to raise awareness for the scripting bank. Like a few people have had no clue who to talk to to donate (me or star) and I was thinking to maybe at 1 or 2 more people to help collect for people in like different time zones. Then the collectors would like have something different like a color or title so people will be like "Hey i have some extra stuff, i guess i can donate it" and know who to contact. Or they've been wanting to donate and didn't know who to contact and they see like a post by us in another thread and now they know who to talk to.

I think that makes sence…It makes sence inside my head, just didnt come into words so well..

Sorry, missed this thread kinda, read it now. So what you actually want is some kind of bank/reward/lotery system, where the donators get cups/avatars and winners get paid? That will be one hell of a job to maintain. We have a hard time handing out all these cups as it is. We could implement stackable avatars, but I will only consider it if stays rs<->rs. It will need some kind of promotion system with stackable icons. Fagex had stuff like that too, if I remember correctly.

So like you know the scripting competition that Start has? I'm basically incharge of collecting the donated rewards for that.

But I'm thinking of maybe recruiting another person (or two) who live in different time zones. I can't be on at all times so sometimes I'm never on when somone who wants to donate is.

The point of the Title/Color/Cup (or w/e) is the distinguish the collectors from other people. So like say you had some extra autoed goods you didn't have any use for. Oh but then you were reading a thread and someone mentioned a donation to the prize bank. Oh no, but they didn't say any names, who do you talk to?? Then you are glancing through another thread and this different colored name / title / cup that you've never seen before, or seen rarely, catches your eye. It jsut happens to be one of the collectors.

So basically it is to show people who to talk to if they want to donate and it will also show people that they can. They will wonder 'Oh you can donate to a prize fund, sure why not!'

Oh an me and Star will be the only won's who know the pass and pin to the main prize account. If other collectors are added they will have access to branch account and I'll do reutine checks and transfer to the main account. Also periodically check if there is amply supply of low grade items to ensure there are no open ended trades.

Edit2: Well If another Admin asked for the pass I would give it to them. But I dont see why they would need it.

Happy to inform you that c0de and Dankness are working on the stackable Golden Contributor Avatar. Not promising anything, for I honestly can't, I only consulted them with the idea, and they agreed to investigate and design whenever they feel like it :)

The idea is for the collectors.
Like you know you can spot admins like a mile away cause there name is red and have the title.

Thats what I'm thinking. Maybe like a rich blue color. Then people will be like "OMG WHO IS THAT" and then will see title and be "oh hes a prize collector… Hey i have some extra stuff i can donate" Or "Hmmm i want to donate to the prize bank, but who collects it :confused:… owell ill find out later" Then they go into a a thread one of the collectors happened to post in and do as in first example.

But the avatars to people who contributed is also a good idea.

No, It is something for the community and I am going to maintain. Like I'm planning to expand it and get some more people helping. And I'm always distracted by things that are different then other things. Like if i was new a different name color of or something would be a good enough ad for me. So it's a bit of advertising and kinda like a sign "Hey talk to me to donate" kinda thing.

But yes as it grows If you dont mind I'd like to have a little group of people and maintain a small chunk of forum like 1 section only admins and collectors can see to post different assignments. And maybe make it like the autopoll thing for members apps. So if people want to donate they can do that and post how much they want and what world what time preferable etc and one of the agents will get back to them.

Then also the little forum section thing will help with tracking who gets the gold donators avvy thing if you go through with it.

Also where people could post like new fundraising ideas, I came up with an uber idea the other night, but theres not really a section that would be proper to post it in to get it started
