The green dragons will attack you whatever you're wearing. I believe the green color is to fool autoers into attacking you so they will become skulled so you can then kill them for loot.

well said bro. Wear full green robes to fool the autos into attacking you….they may drop rune but never their weapons becuz they use protect item thats if u dont smite them b4 they die. best deal to kill them is by ancients. But pkers tend to hang their so be on the look out.
