I remember when one of my computers got like that. One of my friends stayed for a week when he came down from Canada. It was a 3ghz P4 with 1 gig a RAM and ran like a 500mhz with 32mb of RAM after he left…..

Do what i do when my desktop gets filled up with downloads, make a new folder>right click select>ctrl and select click and hold and drag everyhting into the newfolder. I have 1 newfolder on my desktop with 5 newfolders inside it lol.
