MSI Forums Re-Active!

Well I've taken some time, and so has someone else, to revamp the MSI forums, and I feel that if I want to get MSI up an running again I need to get people to be talking about it so TA- DA! The Grand RE-Opening of the MSI forums. I'll be on there a lot so if you have any questions or want to talk PM me here or on the MSI forums or both. Hopefully we can get MSI going again with some stuff I've got planned!

P.S. It was mostly someone else "I don't know who (Smartz?)" that did the revamping I just added a few categories and what not.

Yea I'll repost everything on the forums quick here… Anyways I hope to get this going again and get people motivated. I try to be a good leader and get people moving, you got to give me a break though I'm no Fakawi…

There'll be a lot of reconstruction with MSI and the forums and what - not, for those people who don't know or are wondering though, I want MSI to be closely knit with SRL Members / Devs / Admins / ect… I don't want it to be completely different, because I like SRL and I don't want people to "leave" SRL for MSI, because MSI is basically SRL right now. I hope to get a lot of people working on group projects and what not, because originally thats what I designed MSI to be a little group where people who work together on things, or get the whole SRL Community involved to accomplish greater tasks than the lone person could.

Hey Dark would you want to set your ventrilo server up or should I just get one?
You don't have to if you don't want / can't, I'm just trying to save some money because I'm like broke from traveling this summer.

Sweet! You rock, but what are we going to do with the SvN / Multi - Script Include, are we going to continue using the SvN?

Huh? What do you mean all of our support is inactive? Me you Smartz, Bullzeye are here…. and some other people I'm sure, Dan Cardin is too.

EDIT: 400th Post!!!!

Dark_Sniper

compare are list of people who said they will help to how much they have helped. :p
dont get me wrong we have some great help were just limited by numbers at the moment.

I think we should continue on using SVN its very organized and simple.

I also think that we should slow on the making of scripts with MSI atm and continue in finishing the MSI include making it easier and more efficient in making scripts.

at least finish the core of msi which seems to be about finished.

2007-09-09 14:56:02

Check out my Dev post in MSI. I think that should clear up how I feel about the Multi Script Include, and I think it wouldn't remove that much from MSI but it would make it more organized and we'd have a better aim of what to work on.

Dark_Sniper

okay ill check it….

im lazy so :

www.msi-forums.com

hehe <3 hyperlinks.

EDIT:

I was propusing that all along….

thats what i thought MSI was going to be all the main functions needed to do a task.

2007-09-09 15:04:14

Oh and I just thought of something for everyone to know, please do not ever put the MSI Website in your comment… that would be very, very bad, especially if we regs open.

EDIT: Good, then we agree on something, thats what I though it was going to be to, thats why I was working on things Like FindFire, and stuff…

Dark_Sniper

2007-09-09 15:11:19

we are keeping the MSI website in secret to Leechers?

Special Ed

2007-09-09 15:15:16

Thats the goal, but mainly I just want MSI to be secret from the Non - SRL Members, because MSI is a SRL-Members only thing.

Dark_Sniper

2007-09-09 15:18:09

okay.

i can set up standards for MSI on how we should make functions and procedures…

would not be to hard.

And me too :)

And darky, I havent helped much on the other side, but I made umm 3 first magic functions of MSI, and 2-3 antiban functions =)

Though they are propably outdated now.

I removed the funky double registration process and replaced it with admin verification.

I now have a mic!

But I don't have a working mic port… =0

Sweet now we just need Dark to set up the ventrilo again…. and thats BS all computers have a mic port… even if they're 10 years old.

just leave smarts alone i heard his voice is well… …..

he can always use text base chat on vent.

Smartzkid

2007-09-10 21:18:08

:p

I built my own pc; none of the audio/other built in ports were documented, so I just plugged stuff in and hoped it worked…usb is fine (it had a blurry picture + a sentence or two :)) but I only have one working speaker port and nothing more :( Oh, did I mention that it's mono? You know what it's like listening to a mono input through stereo headphones? Bleh.

I'll get in there someday and fix it, but I've yet to figure out what I'll do that I couldn't have done when I built it…unless some documentation magically appears…

Haha, I remember when I used to always text chat on MSI vent because my grandma was like all the time, asking fhking stupid questions "who are you talking with", "nobody", "what are you playing", "nothing", "what are you typing", "nothing", "One more question here", "Shut up and drop dead bitch!"

Special Ed

2007-09-11 15:53:46

Lol? Also, I understand Smartz, I built my own comp too I just knew I'd be using a mic so I made sure to have that port.

Also, any luck with the SCAR Tags?

That was hilarious. I remember one time you started talking and then stopped in min-sentence saying "Oh shit, my grandma's still here" :p

Hey I would like to help out with Calibration or walking, this looks soo promising so I would love to get in, here is a sample of my work in my not-so-secret-anymore MultiLog Draynor Chopper :P

This piece walks to the trees north north west of the bank :P

procedure WalkToNormal;
Begin
If(FindSymbolIn(tx, ty, 'bank', 614, 62, 669, 107)) Then
Begin
If(FindSymbol(tx, ty, 'dungeon')) Then
Begin
Exit;
end;
RoadColor := FindRoadColor;
If(FindSymbol(tx, ty, 'quest')) Then
Begin
Status('Found Quest Symbol.');
Mouse(tx, ty, 10, 10, True);
FFlag(1);
If(FindSymbol(tx, ty, 'dungeon')) Then
Begin
Status('Found Dungeon Symbol.');
Mouse(tx - 7, ty + 12, 6, 6, True);
wait(4000+Random(2000));
end else
begin
Status('Didn''t Find Dungeon Symbol.');
Status('Going to "Blind" click.');
Mouse(670, 34, 10, 10, True);
FFlag(1);
DungeonCal;
Exit;
end;
end;
If Not(FindSymbol(tx, ty, 'quest')) Then
Begin
Status('Walking by RadialRoadWalk.');
RadialRoadWalk(RoadColor, 285, 311, 70, 3, 3);
FFlag(1);
If(FindSymbol(tx, ty, 'quest')) Then
Begin
Status('Found Quest Symbol.');
Mouse(tx, ty, 6, 6, True);
FFlag(1);
Status('Searching for Dungeon Symbol');
If(FindSymbol(tx, ty, 'dungeon')) Then
Begin
Status('Found Dungeon Symbol.');
Mouse(tx - 7, ty + 12, 6, 6, True);
FFlag(1);
WriteLn('Successfully made it to Normal Trees!');
end else
begin
Status('Didn''t Find Dungeon Symbol.');
Mouse(655, 27, 10, 10, True);
FFlag(1);
If(FindSymbol(tx, ty, 'dungeon')) Then
Begin
Status('Successfully made it to Normal Trees!');
Exit;
end;
end;
end;
end;
end;
end;

and for staying in the forest I had the procedure DungeonCal;

procedure DungeonCal;
Begin
MakeCompass('N');
Status('Checking Location.');
If Not(FindSymbolIn(tx, ty, 'dungeon', 621, 50, 699, 111))Then
Begin
If(FindSYmbol(tx, ty, 'dungeon')) Then
Begin
WriteLn('Callibrating by Dungeon Symbol');
Mouse(tx - 10+Random(2), ty + 15+Random(2), 6, 6, True);
FFlag(1);
WriteLn('Successfully Callibrated');
end else
Begin
WriteLn('Couldn''t Find Dungeon Symbol on MM.');
end;
end else
Begin
Status('Within Distance of Dungeon Symbol');
end;
end;

Alright, Looks good but could probably use some fail safes seeing as how the dungeon symbol isn't always in the correct place. I'm glad your interested seeing as how I'm trying to revive MSI (it kinda fell apart over summer vacation). So if you'd like to check out http://www.msi-forums.com be my guest, its nothing much but I'm working on updating everything there as I get time.
