wowwee what a marathon.
10 hours straight of scripting today up until this point, with short eating breaks, and a 1 hour break in the middle somewhere.
however as promised, a completed tutorial island runner.
since that 10 hour marathon, ive spent another 15 hours on this script.
however 10 of those hours were troubleshooting the "runtime error" i was getting.
im actually quite embaressed now that i have fixed it…
i //commented out lulsetup;:p

anyways, enjoy.

current version: 0.5

UPDATE LOG:
0.1 script started up to rats
0.2 script continued up to monk
0.3 script completed, first release
0.4 script standardized.
0.5 Vastly improved findguy procedure
removed most of "talkguy" from script, and replaced with genericclickheretocontinue.
the reason why i didnt use clicktocontinue is because it only looks for 'continue' which occurs many times on its own.
vastly improved genericclickheretocontinue procedure
added myfindobjectdeformed procedure.
added advanced failsafes to miniwalk and findguy
updated miniwalk
improved findtrees procedure.

as of version 0.5 the script will get up to the cooking of the shrimps flawlessly about 90% of the time(i failed 1 out of 13 tries)

Good job, I think the attached app might be of use to you

~searching for app, will attach asap~

EDIT: http://www.dow.wau.nl/aew/downloads/DelFor.zip

You should randomize your waits.

whats ml???

most of the 40kb ones use different procedures for every person they talk to, i only use one, which works on gates, trees, people, regardless.
its called findguy;

takes out about 60% of the work.

edit:
i just dled nieses
it has alot more procedures then mine:
climbdownladder, climbupladder, runescapeguide, survivalexpert, masterchef, mininginstructor, combatinstrucor, financialadvisor, brotherbrace, magicinstructor

all of these are just one procedure in mine.
that procedure will be drasticly improved later today when i debug the script.
i might do that now actually.

current version doesnt work due to a screw up with the standardizing software.

im updating it, should be done in about 30 mins, next ver will have more efficient findguy procedure(using findobjdeformed) and better miniwalk procedures

hmm… i just finished updating it, including an auto appearance designer and it got stuck(on the autoappearance designer) as a result i had to alt ctrl delete and quit scar through that, so all that work is gone.

luckily i remember most of it and itll take about half the time to rewrite it all.

If you want I've got a neato clothes randomiser you can use… <3 Math :P
The abbreivated variables might be a lil hard to understand but meh.. it works lol.

procedure clothesPicker; // By ~alex~

var
s,t,b,i,xx,yy,lr,mf:integer;

begin
t:= 25 + random(20)
mf:=random(2)
if mf = 1 then
begin
mouse(458,292,6,6,true)
mouse(55,95,5,5,true)
end;
for i:=0 to t do
begin
s:= random(2)
lr:=random(2)
if s = 1 then
begin
b := 1+random(7)
if lr = 1 then
xx:=55
else
xx:=168;
yy:= 65+(b*35)
end else
begin
b:= 1+random(5)
if lr = 1 then
xx:=354
else
xx:=466;
yy:= 65+(b*35)
end;
mouse(xx,yy,5,5,true)
end;
mouse(260,287,10,10,true)
wait(2500+random(1000))
end;

Looks nice,

procedure magicpath;
begin
findcolortolerance(lulx, luly, 2967647, 649, 126, 681, 167, 10);
mouse(lulx, luly, 1, 1, true);
flag;
findcolortolerance(lulx, luly, 244, 668, 89, 728, 147, 10);
mouse(lulx, luly, 1, 1, true);
flag;
end;

If statements maybe? easies to add failsafes that way.

i posted my method of scripting somewhere around the forum, cant remember where, but to sum it up:
i hardcode/no failsafes the first run.
2nd run i start adding failsafes and radialwalk and all the other little goodies
3rd run i test
4th run i improve/see if there are any SRL procedures that do the same thing mine does.

ive been stuck on findguy; procedure for about 3 days now, trying ot get around this runtime error, im probably just gunna dump the entire findobj idea… pity, seeing as though there is no real reason it shouldnt work.

I may be able to help with runtime errors… I know almost every error in the book :)
From not declaring bitmaps.. to using a non-array in GetArrayLength.
Edit: I added your msn.

figured out the error.

UPDATE: lots of fixes, its starting to work REALLY well now.
still some minor problems to fix, and i gotta update the rest of the script with the new findguy procedure.

elementalelf

testing :) i need alot more noobs to get thru the tut island

jdumber2k

2007-09-18 20:36:35

as i played tut island i noticed that a big yellow box comes up when you are stuck. this could be an advantage for scripters because it could be used as a failsafe for tut runners
heres the colors and coords of it
Color Picked: 978931 at (386, -14524600)
Color Picked: 0 at (359, -14524624)

elementalelf

2007-09-18 21:08:18

jdumber: as far as i can see, the only thing that can be used for is failsafes.
thanks though!

lets see, I have to get 16 noobs through tut island for my Virtual PC's!
I'll tell you how it goes once I can make the noobs….

rs only allows me to make 5 at a time before blocking me for an hour from account making.

looks very amazing! :D

:o I made 100+ accounts in 10 mins on my AOL dial-up :\

elementalelf

2007-09-21 01:42:28

yeah, i should probably get around to updating this script, i find it really hard to keep going though :/

ill get to it today and hopefully have a reliable script ready in a few hours…

SRL Members isn't activate that much anyway…so it isn't really considered grave-digging if you post in a one month old script thread.
