Hey guys, here is my Lumbridge Swamp Miner. It mines addy, mith and coal at the west mine in Lumbridge.
Last Update: 21/5/09

Features:

• Very fast rock finding
• Smooth transition between rocks - meaning it will mine the highest rock you specify, as soon as it appears. In the meantime it will mine other rocks.
• Detects when the rock has been mined
• Antigas
• Pickaxe Attaching
• All normal randoms, etc.
• Dare I say it? Flawless walking
• SRL Stats
• Very fast rock finding.

32 bit, low detail, use normal client, etc etc. Setup your players, start in draynor bank. The way this script works is it prioritizes Strings[0] over the other rocks in the mine, but when its gone it moves down one level. Eg, if you set it to addy then it will mine addy until theres none left, then mith until theres no mith, then coal. If at any time during the mining a higher rock re-appears, it will go straight to it. "Smooth transition between rocks" ;)

It should now avoid people wearing mith and addy coloured clothes, but still dont wear them or wield any picks/weapons of that type just in case. The new gas check also means that you can wear basically whatever you like :p

Worked really nice!
Only got 2 problems:
-didn't detect a rock giant (that fighting random ye)
-can't put a bankpin somewhere :(

No need to close your one, nothing like a bit of competition :) And nah, its better if you don't because the rock finding will think its an addy rock. But you can still use the pick, as long as you dont have it weilded.

Ok thanks, I think I've fixed up the rock giant, it was a problem with setting my locations. And I didnt realise people actually used bank pins on their autoers, I'll put that in now lol. Just updated it then, could you tell me if they both work?

Could not find Water Color!

mm so yea i dn ill try again but does 1 load perfect

Got some ores from it again, run great.
But found again 2 'bugs'
1. it clicks on trees / rocks (normal ones) when it is trying to walk, mostly it goes well. But when you get the error that hessel got, it clicks on a tree and stats searching the water color. Maybe you could change something so it won't click trees anymore.
2. it waits fairly long when it's 'following the rock', maybe you could limit that to 20 secs.

Another tip for people who get this:
It clicks on rocks who're empty & normally coal and thinks it mining addy/mith because a noob who's wearing that armour…
Just pick the collors every time you get a new windows, it's better set then not =]

For me… when it try's to change player it wont work… i know the reason but dont know solution…

You know when using windows Xp. The blue thing on top… with the name of the website: at this moment it will be like [srl 4] Lumby west swamp miner bla bla bla. That blue thing turns light blue… then it is not possible to type in runescape screen… so this script cant change user..

It also counts for some other scripts with user-change…. Some1 knows the solution…

And sorry for the bad english… Not my best language…

My god theres alot of bots here.

It logged out on me on my first miner. I set it on mith ore and it was doing fine untill it ran out of ore. The other macros there were mining the coal and it could not find any ore fast enough. It just stood there till it logged. I suggest adding the gametabs into this one as well to prevent logouts.

It also walks far east for some reason if it dont find the water color. I suggest making it click back onto the bank symbol whenever watercolor is not found. This way it can attempt to find it again. It really depends on where you are standing in the bank to see how much water is showing. Or since the bank symbol isnt always going to work how about if it fails to find the water color have it walk west or southwest towards it then search again. If you cant do either of these Id make it log out so your guy just dont go wandering off.

It was also clicking coal rocks with no ores in it for me whenever there was one right next to it with an ore.. Im gonna try a different browser and see if that make a difference at all. Nope. No matter which browser I use it still clicks empty coal rocks. It does fine with mith
though on getting the right rocks.

Thats all I see at the moment. If you update again pm me and Ill test around again..

Ok sweet, fixed up the walking if it doesnt find the water, it now tries to get closer to the water by going to the bank dtm/symbol and if it still doesnt find it then it logs out.

I had already coded the gametabs and stuff to make sure it didnt log out at the mine, but i had messed up a variable somewhere and it rendered it useless, so I fixed that up

I think ive fixed the coal mining..i made the boxes it searches for while following the rock or getting the center smaller, so it should stay on the one rock, instead of running the risk of overlapping rocks, and clicking in the one spot. its still a little dodgy though, especially if someone with mith or addy coloured clothes is standing over the top of the empty rock, it will move mouse, see the uptext and click. still thinking of a way to get around this.

i also fixed up a few other errors which i saw while fixing up the ones you posted. thanks for the feedback

Ok ill run this again a bit when I get home. I just mainly been working on combat and mage on my guys lately trying to get them really high since most got 65 mining or higher now. It seems alot get banned after 70 if their combat is real low.

I got about 3 thats done so I will put them there to run the script next few days. Its hard to get coal because there are no srl guild miners really. Ill post later tonight how it goes.

Im up for it srl hasnt had an updated one in forever. I can test this one while your making the other to perfect it. Ill post any feedback. Ive got enough good miners to run it without worrying about bans so I can test it effectively.

Id just make it srl member only though. We need another script like stupid 3000s guild miner. That thing ran for days in the frigging guild. Your more than capable.

And I'll get around to making the guild miner, but theres other stuff that I have to make first, like crafting scripts. I'm in a lazy mood atm too so it might be a while haha.

Zz got some problems with it atm, using scar 3.12 & SRL 4 rev#4
But it doesn't switch players, it says nextplayer & then just doesn't do anything for about 3 hours (or longer, cause I didn't test any longer).
Got an solution?

Well I see 2 problems so far… if you fix one the other one should be ok for time being…


#1 when it hits a gas bubble it walks away but comes right back to it… Thus blowing up the pic…

#2 After #1 it goes back to the bank deposists the pic but does not try and withdraw another pic… I have them in the first spot it just loggs out and turns the character to active false…

Well I see 2 problems so far… if you fix one the other one should be ok for time being…


#1 when it hits a gas bubble it walks away but comes right back to it… Thus blowing up the pic…

#2 After #1 it goes back to the bank deposists the pic but does not try and withdraw another pic… I have them in the first spot it just loggs out and turns the character to active false…

I came across this a few times and figured that it was because of the new gascheck. To fix, but this on line 125 & 126:

if Gx - 30 < 0 then Gx := MSCX - 30;
  if Gy - 30 < 0 then Gy := MSCY - 30;

And this on lines 133 & 134, after putting the above fix in:

if Gx - 20 < 0 then Gx := MSCX - 20;
        if Gy - 20 < 0 then Gy := MSCY - 20;

If you get the error again, post here and PM SKy Scripter about it, with as much details as you can possible get.

I've found one little bug, it forgets to bank the gems sometimes and count them then over and over each load and still doesn't bank them..
Would be nice if you could fix that also, because it's working great then =]

its nice and very good script its slow but stable and a good random mining procedure great work keep it coming
maybe you wanna add if you level to mi ning 55 your setting coal go's to mithril so if a player sets 'auto' it will choose it from your best level evry banking so if it leveled you know maybe you could try that ;)

yea, gas breaks your pics. i dont think that mining mith would make any difference at all, really. are you sure that you copied mining.scar over correctly? maybe you accidentaly left the gas check out or something, cause its never failed me lol.

I guess white clothes can interupt the gassfinder, because it didn't happen anymore after I put up some other clothes.
But you can put a bunch of mith/addy pickaxes in your bank just incase a rune gets broken =]

Yea it has to be Coal, Mith or Addy, not Mithril ;) And did it seriously end up in the east mine? Maybe one of the randoms teleport you there, and it missed one or something.

No idea, I havent got an account that high. If 5 level 50 accounts get 1k coal in 8 hours, you would be getting a lot more than that, possibly 2-3k? But I really cant say. You could get some great addy, mith and coal from it though, and maybe get your mining up to 85 if you ran it for long enough.

why not just use the guild miners for coal

Player 1 got 2 broken pickaxes and was mining with a mithril pickaxe when I came back, so I guess there's something wrong with the gasfunction.
The 2nd problem is that player 0 was standing at the mine with everything correct and got False…

Hrrrrmrmrrrmm….It shouldnt have logged out, because I have failsafes for that…I'll think about what could have caused it.

Some images aren't gasses, some are. But it just takes about 5 screenshots of 1 gas. So I think you've got to change the time between making screens about gasses and the time that it has to wait before returning to mining again.

Try pick new rock colours, because jagex changes them sometimes when they update.

i had a 5 hour proggie, but then scar crashed, but sometime it dosent find bank, and just keeeps going. and i find him almost to fally… i was thinking, you could stop it when it finds the fishing symbol, and make it click like y-10 or somthing, that minght help find bank

EDIT: i was running this on a laggy comp cuz i have 2 vms and a normal scar running.
Is the script supposed to lower the brightness because most of my characters had partial brightness when i logged back on to check on them.

Nope its not meant to but I've noticed sometimes on a laggy computer when you click somewhere on the invent, sometimes it registers the click somewhere else..its likely that when it got to the mine it went to set run on, but misclicked onto setting down the brightness. the same thing probably happened in the bank? :)

Yea the box asking to connect to a site is just the stats site (stats.srl-forums.com), every time we bank a load it sends information to that server, such as time running, addy banked, mith banked, etc. Just a bit of fun :) No passwords or any private information is logged at all.

About that error, I've never seen that one before…Line 347 is just writing logs to a text file, did you allow SCAR to access that file? If you didnt, that might be the cause. Or else the error is on the line above, where your nickname bmp is being made, in that case you should read about setting up your players here: http://www.villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5410

player 0 was not really false, he was in the bank with his pick ready and everything.
player 1 was standing a little bit to the east of the mine.
player 2 had his brightness set low, and was slightly northeast of the mine. In addition, his rune pick had been swapped for an addy pick in the bank.
player 3 got the quiz random.
player 4 was in the bank, but not at the booth.
player 5 was in the bank, with low brightness.
player 6 was in the bank, at a bank booth with his pick deposited. I have had this problem with this character everytime i run this script.

my guess is that the brightness issue i am having is related to setting run, because the brightness bar lines up with the run setting

Hmm, so the brightness would be making the gametab errors then I'm guessing. You said earlier that you had a laggy computer, yea? You're probably right about the setting run causing the brightness to be made low. Try this:

- Search for all SetRun in the script
- Place // in front of every line with SetRun.

See if that fixes your problem. :)

yeah, once i deleted the SetRun functions it fixed the brightness issue. Oddly i didnt get the walking past the mine bug either.

Unfortunately my mining army is all over level 60 mining, so i will have to move onto a guild miner. However don't despair, i have 2 up and coming mining armies that will be ready in a week or 2.

Anyways, thanks for the script, and ill be sure to use it for my newer mining armies when i get the chance.

Just to confirm that - I use a Guild Miner and get approx 2.5k coal in about 10 hours with lv 68-72 miners. Around 2k back when they were around 60.

ahh ok I havent mined at the guild for ages, so dont know the rates. but would the mith that you mine make up for the walking?

I've heard guild mining is like 'banhammer', a instant ban :o. Ofcourse swamp miner is slower, less coal rocks, but more mith rocks & adamant rocks. And no bannage :).

hmmm thats a little scary, i'll have to see how Runescapian's army does before i test mine out…

but im talking about around 45 combat here, still the same?

An instant ban? Really? Well 6 of my guys have gotten from 60- about 70 mining so far and about 70k coal, nobody banned yet, doesn't even seem like they're flagged.

But how would guild mining be different from any other mining?

EDIT: Btw my guys are around lv 35 combat w/ a piece of Addy (t) or (g) on them.

True. I haven't autoed in the Mine a lot.. But its very well detected… And will result in a ban most times. Of course there are exceptions. But the chance you get banned in the guild is way higher than anywhere else ;).

yup that's true, there are a lot of suspicious legits in there. but if you have a high combat level you should be fine ;)

dam idk anymore, i guess ill get my guys to like 50 combat and invest in some pricey items for them to wear. Ill still use this to get my guys from 55-60 though.

i've been using the script for a little while now…as soon as i've been able to mine coal with my mule he has mined in west lumby and already banked 3k coal total and around 400 mith…he didn't run from only one gas rock since i've been autoing but other than that nice script man and thanks

nope hes saying out of ALL the time hes been running this, its only missed one gas. :)

i ran it for a while, it only goes for around 1hr, and the place is fairly crowded most of the time. gas finding works great but it only has smooth rock transition when i pick my own colors&raise the tolerance.
need some minor tweaking i think, but overall is a awesome script.

i was just thinking, is it possible to make a version that doesnt mine coal at all.. and switches worlds once it cant see any mith or addy? that would be uber good.

No gametab means your script got stuck in an unsolvable random and no bank means it couldnt find the bank. i dont know why number 2 was false at the mine, though…where was he standing and what was his invent?

i edited only a couple of things and it made a BIG improvement, i had it set up in such a way that it would mine very little coal, by not having the coal rocks visible

alright.. i spose i can let out the "secret" changes
i made the Walk to mine procedure rotate to ('e') and LowestAngle; at the end, and then at the start of the walk to bank proc i made it ('n') and HighestAngle; then changed the rock colours of course.. now what this does, it will get stuck at the mith rock in the south.. thats good for me becuase i dont want coal from this, i use jukkas script for that.. now, i did this becuase i find the colours much better/accurate from this angle… for people who still want to mine lots of coal, just take out the lowest/highest angle and shes all sweet (colours are the same)
ooh and i also played around with a few of the tolerances to make it have smother rock transisiton.. the version i downloaded.. it would always be running from 1 rock to the other without mining

thats how i get the almost 6 hour progies with 1 char.. addy mining is a little buggy sometimes, but once it actually starts mining the addy it will mine both before going back to mith/coal

The idea of mining coal though was so its not just standing idle at the mine while theres no mith or addy. But if you dont want it to mine coal I guess thats something you could do :p

Thanks for that, I will take it into consideration in the next update, dont know if there will be one though cause I'm currently very busy with the script in my sig, and schoolwork.

well what i found is when the compass is facing north the colors in the rocks are very light and just dont work well for me. im usin scarscape btw

I would love to say that Manualy picking the Rock Colors would work for me but… the character wont leave the bank… It logs in but it just sits there not doing anything… I even tried it in SS… But nothing…

Try using it with scar 3.12c and it should work. :) Hy, does it always never count the coal? Hmm..the bitmap could have changed a bit. Could you try changing the tol in the counting procedure and get back to me?

Perfect…. Runs great Just need Scar 3.12C… They only thing that Made me Go crazy about that Scar Issue… is at the top of the page Scrolling in Pink Letters…. It says Welcome to the SRL forums… Scar 3.12s is out!… and i didnt know how they got to S…. But other than that I will have a Progress Report tomorrow :D

after not sure how long, I don't get progress reports for some odd reason…

I think this error(runtime error) is because of my version of scar, what version were you using eaglejh? or what version should i be using the claw? i'm using 3.12c, currently. although i have no updated to rev 7 of SRL. only 6; runtime error is due to mining script in scar.s main directory, so that leads me to believe that it is, in fact, scar's problem.

Sometimes It Lags in The Mine And Dosent Mine( It Writes Somthing In Scar "Waiting For Ore" Or Somthing Like That…) How To Solve That???

This script is amazing! I have had 4 guys go over 5 hours. I'll try to post a progress report tommorow after school. I've had no problems with it so far except once it got beat up by the sandwich lady.

EDIT: For some reason when I copy and pasted the report it got all messed up but this is how it was when I stopped it. I got about 1.5k-2k ores in about 6-8 hours and 2 out of my 4 guys were false. I'd have to say this script is amazing.

@the claw,, why are some chars false in the mine when there isn't anything wierd?

Hey, this script is great, but on the char that has 70 mining i put mine addy as highest and it mined coal instead of addy. And i checked if there was any addy in the rock.

Im really new to SCAR and I am a noob so please be patient with me. =) I got this script to work for mining coal at the mine. I have it set up for 2 players and heres what happens. It logs in, goes to mine, mines the ore, goes to bank, puts ore in, withdraws a spare pick axe I have. Then logs out.

How do I keep it going. I have loads set to 100. But it only does one. Sense Im new I watched tv and kept an eye on it running for a while to see what it does. I notice it gets stuck sometimes(by the addy ore) and i just press the arrow key once and itll go mine again, happened twice.

Also 1 of the accounts the 1st one is only lvl 40 so it can't mine mith but I put "coal" as the highest ore to mine. My 2nd account is lvl 63 so I said highest or to mine was "mith". Try picking the colours correctly. The colour picker tool is an Eyedropper (Just like the one is Microsoft Paint and Adobe Photoshop). It will then freeze the screen, make sure you have selected Runescape as the client and to be near the rocks. Select the colour of the coal ore (The colour in between the rock, which is like lightning down the middle of a rock which is kind of black). And change the appropriate lines, now you have set-up the colours.

If any other problems/errors consist, this community is free to help you.

Okay great I solved the problem with the right ores being mined. But I still get stuck sometimes by the addy ore, and also I cant run more then one load. Itll mine a load take it back bank it and log out. Then it will log onto the other one and do the same thing and log back out.

Updated, includes:

- Better gas finding, thanks to Wizzup
- Better anti-randoms
- More aesthetically pleasing reports..just a small tweak or two lol
- I may have solved why it logs out after 1 load sometimes.

However, I didnt even log on to RS to update this so I didnt pick any new colours. Test it out though, with the normal client, if it doesnt work then yeh try picking your own colours.

Hey guys, here is my Lumbridge Swamp Miner. It mines addy, mith and coal at the west mine in Lumbridge.

Features:

• Very fast rock finding
• Smooth transition between rocks - meaning it will mine the highest rock you specify, as soon as it appears. In the meantime it will mine other rocks.
• Detects when the rock has been mined
• Antigas
• Pickaxe Attaching
• All normal randoms, etc.
• Dare I say it? Flawless walking
• SRL Stats
• Very fast rock finding.

32 bit, low detail, use normal client, etc etc. Setup your players, start in draynor bank. The way this script works is it prioritizes Strings[0] over the other rocks in the mine, but when its gone it moves down one level. Eg, if you set it to addy then it will mine addy until theres none left, then mith until theres no mith, then coal. If at any time during the mining a higher rock re-appears, it will go straight to it. "Smooth transition between rocks" ;)

It should now avoid people wearing mith and addy coloured clothes. The new gas check also means that you can wear basically whatever you like :p

not bad. did you set up your players nick's correctly? that could be the reason you died and if you're new here you might not have known to. :) the players nick is 3 or 4 letters from the whole name. so if the players name is lolwut, the nickname would be olw or lwu.

This is what appeared in mt debug box after i pressed play. The script did the standard set up for autoing then froze so i had to stop it. If i need to pick colors it would be nice to know where they are.:)

Well, i've managed to fix the compiling problem. Works like a charm now! the banking works, but i need to renew my membership cause i dont have any more room… ;) I will post the fix if Claw will allow it???

EDIT: I've just found there is a problem with the direction changing and Highest/Lowest Angle. I'm currently working on a fix…

not gettin good proggies either, it works for about 1hour-2hours then i end up in port sarim or sumwhere else when i check, but works fine apart from that, got about 300 coal from it in 2 hours, so fast mining.

u kno…even tho i updated the script abit…im still not getting gud proggys…i have the bank depositing problem…which was meant to be fixed for srl rev 16…dunno y it isnt…i only got 4 loads….also ur progress report doesnt report anything(everything comes out in zeroes) and it only shows the loads done….no exp or anything…and the deposit 2 per bank or sumthing is carrying on…ie it deposits 2(store X…2)…and the gametab 4 problem…it fills the debug box with 8000 useless lines :@…but other than that ur scripts gud…liked it…just need some fixes on the banker and proggys report…keep up the gud work,

- Bitmaps of items must of changed, which is why it doesnt count them properly which effects the proggy, and the xp gained
- Deposit 2 per bank sounds like its depositing each item by going deposit x then typing in 2? Thats because the parameters of "Deposit" have changed.
- Gametab 4 problem? Is that where it gives warning when bank screen is open?

If those are the problems, then you can fix by going to the depositing procedure and changing each parameter in "Deposit('2', '28', All)" or whatevers in the script according to the new Deposit function in Banking.scar. I think. To fix the bitmaps, go to the LoadBitmaps procedure, and take new bitmaps of coal, mith, and addy ore in the inventory. Just take a smallish sized square from the center of the ore, probably 5 x 5 pixels or so. Then replace them in LoadBitmaps. Also do this for gems probably.

If that fixes the problems, then post a proggy proving the script works, PM me the updated script, and I'll put it in first post again. Good luck ;)

hmm il test the updated version soon, and see what i can do to it, also i updated this script as well :d , i think i made it a little less banable i made it click beside the water ect not always on it il pm it to you if you want it claw.

yes can sum1 update this, i wont becoz it will be awful, im still a begginer, but i like this script and want it to work properly, i get about 2 loads then it just doesnt find the bank and carries on walking…

if u r then dunno y this is happening…post this problem on the scripting help section o join srl chat and get instant help from the people online…im sorry i cant help…im actually not that gud with scripting…try closing scar-reopening-then running again…it worked for me like that once…if not then post on help section or pm Nicbaz, The Claw or anyone u think can help….sry for not helping,

It just clicks on the first rock color it sees, instead of doing the highest one, and it kept clicking on rocks without ore on them.

Hmm I'd help out issamawan but yeh exams are real soon so dont have the time but roscomonkey has PMed me a version that he had updated, he said that he has fixed a few of the errors and made it better in a couple of ways. i also made a few slight changes to this version too, to make it more effecient. :) Still havent tested it though….so yeh, if one version doesnt work then try the one attached here. keep working on it though guys, you're doing a great job :p

k, i tested and it does get further…now it can't find the water color when it is going around the corner after it passes the wizards tower :(

thats a manual fix go to the runecrafting section, and in vashes aircrafter there is an easy fix, this update works fine for me, ill try and get a decent proggie for ya.

my miners arent at lumby and i cant bring them now…i have to do a few things….so when im done ill come over and do the auto and test it too…thnx roscomonkey…hope u get a gud proggy…hasnt been one in like….forever!:p,

mine is still having trouble getting water color. it walks me from the bank the the rock, says "Could not find Water Color!" then goes back to bank and logs out =\

same with everyones….wait till the watercolor is fixed…then it will be republished,

Banking system is not good. Its maining good but walking to back bank its bad :<

its not even going past the wizzy tower for me ffs. the first time i used it it did 2 loads fine. then it jus doesnt find watercolour past wizzy tower which is annoying >.<
