note: this is a direct copy/paste from a thread at freddy1990 forums, i cbf typing too much :/

probably not many people know me here, i first started cheating a few months before autorune went down, up until about q1 2006
i was a part of some great communities like OGlabs(me and gussy still chat on msn from time to time) shadowlabs(mine and chris001's forums) and many others.
ive been scripting for a while, and made a few really nice scripts, if you search hard enough on sythe.org or runecms archives you could probably find htem.
decided to get back into the action and release a few scripts. i notice there is a scar 3.0 now, i left just after scar 2.1 came out, so im a little rusty.

question:
what forums are still around? im guessing sythe is still active, but where else?

pending me getting the time to learn SRL i should have a few scripts done by the weeks end.

me and gussy were about on par as far as scripting goes, chriz was alot better then both of us, i still talk to him too.

note: chriz was the author of that REALLY leet varrock miner that still worked 2 years after without updates. cant remember the name of it.
only people i really recognise here are you, mopar and mutantsquirrle

in case you wanted to know what he is up to, gussy is doing a double degree, law and commerce at a uni about 200km(130 miles) away from my city

Nice to hear about Gussy. Gussy is a very old school scripter, and i leaned the bulk of scripting from his code. He made an awesome set of scripts known as GussyMMM (I think) It was a Miner, Smelter and something else AIO for Fally. Very powerful, and a wonderful piece of work. So wonderful infact, that i have kept it all of these years… i just can't open the rar file at work :duh:

I've heard Odie is still around, but he's not SCAR scripting any longer - i think he's moved onto java, or just simply moved on again :p

ok guys, ill let you in on a little secret
back when me, gussy, odie and chriz started scripting, there were NO antirandoms, except map rotation, color changing hadnt been introduced.

anyone remember this?

yeah, varrock east miner, i took over after version 8.1 came out and took it up to ver 9.0(had full rights from chris, dont worry :) ) but only a few people got to use that script, i.e. people that contributed to it, i just tested it then and its still working :S
btw, gussyMMM was a joint effort between me, him and (i think) benleegt

note: bcrewer was NEVER autoed on, i used him purely for entertainment, he is currently not banned and level 76 mining.
bcrewer stands bernadiro crewer
pronounced: nnn-ber(guttural sounding)-oh-nun-die-row
which means "slow as a sea slug" in fijian(im part fijian but i speak it pretty well)
and was part of a mining team, bcrewer1 and bcrewer2 are still around somewhere i think.

Haha, yea i remember ScarScape, though i never used it properly. Mainly because I didn't have an auth, and i wasn't a good enough scripter back then :p

Its a long time since I even looked at the GussyMMM script, so i can't even remember who made it. Even so, it was a damn good script back in the day.

sorry, everry forum has different rules :/ the forum i usually frequent has a "dont edit your posts unless you are correcting something" rule, hence i have gotten into the habit of DP'ing

SRL Rules

Thats a rule i haven't heard of before… ours are quite simple and straightforward. Edit if you want to add more to the post, edit for spelling mistakes, don't leech, and behave are the basis of them all.

I'm GMT and i won't be home for another 5 hours or so i'm afraid.

i just read the rules, and will comply to the best of my ability
dont leech is a funny one really, regardless of how well setup and moderated a community is, there will always be people who CBF learning to script and just dl'ing them.

That would be called the SRL Members section and the SRL Developers section.

Yea, we have a problem with leeching here, but they have limited access to scripts atm. If they want access to bigger and better scripts, they have to learn how to script and apply to become a SRL member.

RuneSC? No, I'm afraid that died off. This is a completely new site created by WT-Fakawi, and now maintained by Dankness. Taken from the homepage:

i really dont much care for the game itself, i played my share of runescape when i was 11-15, but i like helping people, so i will probably write a few scripts to prove my worth, then when/if i get a postition as a developer ill work solely on SRL
i much rather work on singular procedures then full scripts, probably the reason why im not as well known as gussy/chris and all them guys, i only released about 7 scripts, but i contributed a tonne to the original library include, squig(that was originally made by a guy called joker if i recall), and some others
i am best with anti-randoms and pathing, as rather then aligning the map to north i use trig equations to calculate paths
you can see these in the later versions of varrock east miner, i think i first redid the pathing in version 6.5

how about a 1 and a half year old flax picker?
i really dont have anything recent, but this flax picker was my masterpiece, with some help putting it together with jens(a netherlands guy that i was really good friends with, we shared all our accounts and eventually had around 40 or 50 of them, all 60+ in 1 stat or another, all autoed using vmware on a p4 cluster)
i was running it on my members back when i used to buy membership from juansito for 500k a pop(is he still around??)
i will have to look around on the net for it as i didnt back up any of my scar scripts and ive since been through 3 or 4 windows reinstalls.
it SHOULD still be on jens's webspace but ill have to wait for him to get online before i can check.

actually you were working with me and jens(if this is the same thing im thinking of) this was on your flax picker right? and we had a 3 way convo of testing, fixing, debugging etc. i didnt talk very much during it though.

They are two different people, squig was some guy from australia, joker is some guy from california who has spent some time in jail (supposedly) and the last time he came back he tried to sell a password bruteforcer.

thats what the general consensus within the communities was, later on, one of the scripters who was also doing law found that it would be illegal for jagex to do it, thats when we stopped using library('name');

Theoretically it is possible, but only if you use a signed applet, if you use unsigned it is entirely impossible to do.

That being said, jagex has never looked at the window names ever, we have all the code they have ever put out there and it has never happened to this day ;)

heres an embarressing story i just remembered.

this is how i FIRST got into runescape cheating…
i was 11 at the time(i think, memory isnt too good as this is going back a long time) and i did the typical 11 year old immature thing "this game is too hard, i want cheats, i wanna be zezeeeemaahhh"
so i type autominer in google.
results are all "FREE AUTORUNE HERE" etc etc.
i click, i download, i get keylogged, i cry :(

anyway, fast foward to after reinstalling windows.
i find another autorune download, i download it, this one has no keylogger, and it gets into the main program.

i find out that the real owner is some dood named "kaitnieks" and i send an email off to him. "hey kaitnieks, autorune has been leaked111!!1!!1!!!"
get a rather embaressing email back from kaitnieks "hey, nah, dont worry, thats not a real autorune, heres the real community(linky here)"





anyways, that was the embarressing story of my nooby ways

Hey well, yea I don't remember you but Renegade sounds familiar, and of course Squig, I had only started using SCAR 1 week before Kaitnieks went down.
Ahhh.. that was an awesome week, :D. Anyways be sure to look around the SRL Members section I'm sure you'll at least be somewhat impressed in what has developed while you were gone.
