Yeah, I saw a guide on this forum about how to avoid that and not get caught, that sucks and I hope you can appeal ban.

Well, they can ban you for multi login (Two same IPs logged in at the same time), as well. I suspected that they could see if you've traded something for nothing, though - thanks for telling us.

Hmm, I've been doing one-way transactions (money or stuff traded from one account to another with nothing traded in return) for months between RS accounts (using multiple logins on a single pc) without being caught so far. I certainly don't want to get caught, so could you give us more specifics so we can know what to avoid doing? You mention both a one-way trade and buying RS gold, which is a completely separate issue. Are you sure you were banned because of the one-way trade, or could it have been for real-life RS gold purchases (which I have never done–and I don't understand why they would think a one-way RS trade proves real-life RS gold purchases, since it doesn't)? If you think it was for the one-way trade, do you think it was because of the large amount (I've never traded that much cash in a single one-way trade)?

Thanks.

yes my main were banned for that, the best way to do this now is 2 different ips on at one time u will need two internet servaises like ie and firefox, use a fake ip on one of them and the system will think you are two ppl, i have been doing that and i have been fine ever since :)

Same thing happened to my main just last night. Traded 3 mill and a fury to my range pure for fire cape attempt, put nothing up and found that BOTH accounts had been banned and appeals denied.

The consistent factor is that you both traded large amounts of cash between acounts for nothing in return. So it may be that one has to be especially careful when doing large transfers. Those probably produce reports that Jagex people check out, since they don't have the time to check out every uneven trade. If this is the cause of the problem, it would then also pay to break trades down into smaller amounts–just like money launderers do in the real world.

Yes, they definitely know when you drop trade..Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with the locations you drop at…and all to do with the unique signature of each item being traded between your accounts registered on the same computer….just because they didn't ban your accounts for drop trading a few items this time…Consider yourself lucky, because they will ban you when they think it is worth while….there are proposed ways around this, but they have been discussed in previous posts enough times…if you want to know more…use the search button ;)
