SRL Universal Stats ID?

Leechers today never seem to get SRL Stats therefore, scripts that attract most leechers (powerminers + cutters) stats are not fully shown. Maybe to fix this there could be a "universal" stats id (Ex. Leechers?). It seems somewhat unfair that script stats are based on the amount of users who are registered and use them, not from actual runtime. And in the include it would say

If SRLId <> '' then SRLID := '{Leechers Id Here}';
etc

This way, people could use their statsId, and if none was entered, the stats would be filled into the leechers id. Anyone think this is a good idea?

that wouldnt work your saying if statsid doesn't = nothing then it equals this. u meant to put and equal sign im sure.

That's a good idea however you code is wrong :p

if (SRLStatsId = '') then SRLStatsID:= 'LeechersID';

You put if it's that if it's not blank then it will change to leechers id

Edit: Beat me to it jhildy.

that is a really good idea.

we could do it ourselves, if we really wanted too.

What's the leecher account you have, pwnaz0r? Could i use it for my scripts too?

SRLId = 2388
Password = Leechers

Guys, lol, I already made one of these…

if you want to use it here is the info

SRL Stats Name : Default.
SRL Stats ID #: 2374.
SRL Stats Password: leecher.

I just set up constants that are like "YourSRLID" at the top of the script, and I just leave it as 2374 when I distribute the script, and the script user can change it to their own if they want.

Nice idea, in my script I just had it shut down and open up the registration page if an id wasnt entered..this would be better though. :)

WEll if danky could give a default account. And then not let that account get personal stats but give script stats it would be better.

Hmm, I don't like this idea, SRL-Stats is meant to be fun, not to show how much more bandwidth leechers can eat, if I would have add that in my scripts time would have been time += time * 20;

Way too much bandwidth.
Plus, I don't like making SRL Stats a competition, this will just lead to abuse.

But getting your script to the top 10 is good, because then people see "uu that script is good".

I think its a good idea. Like with my RM Runner, I know a lot of people will run the script but never post if it got lost, it made it or it didn't work. I've got a couple of variables that allow me to check the number of times the script has completed the quest. So the SRL Stats is another way to get feedback on whether you script work a lot of the time or not at all.

Very few people set up their stats like that ;). But if you can't get feedback from the leechers mouth then get it from their leeching ;)

Hah. This is coming from the number one SRL Stats-used script :p. Anyways its not to be a competition, it would be meant for feedback, which almost no-one recieves from leechers. Its not fun if leechers dont make the accounts ;)

We should all use a leecher account in our script and use the same one and see if we can beat ram's time. Just kidding but i think scripts just need to update their time regardless if someone has put a stats id in.

I understand, but I'm only using it to get a more accurate measurement of usage.

Yea let's do that, lol :)
No, it should be cool, but as Pyro said, it should return the stats of the different scripts, not just all the scripts together, showing the stats one by one, so we actually have feedback, because if it's just the total minutes of all the scripts (used on that account) together we don't have that feedback.

 if ( SRLID <> '' ) and ( SRLPassword <> '' ) then
begin
....

if ( ScriptID <> '' ) then
begin

It's in there for a reason, we want to reduce bandwidth, if you really want to keep record of all the tim your script run, in my opinion, you should just set up your own .php and server.

Anyway, I think this should be up to Dankness to decide.

BTW: I actually asked about this in the past (Add to Script ID then check normal acc details), and then Dankness explained why he didn't want it.

Lol, just do as I do, get a "leechers SRL Stats" and put that in your script, so if leechers use (they dont have SRL Stats), then you can peek at SRL Stats watching when they get randoms, bury bones, kills stuff etc..

I can't be bothered learning php or care enough to pay for a server…
