Ok, so I'm in year 11 at school (2nd last year before university) and I've got a SAC (mini exam) in IT (computer class), its on visual basic. The trouble is halfway through the unit our really good teacher left the school, and we got a dope who barely even knows where Visual Basic is on the start menu, so we have learnt nothing the past 6 weeks lol. This SAC is worth a fair bit on our end of year report, so I dont really want to fail it…It started today and goes for another 6, 50-minute periods. I managed to sneak out the questions (:p) in the hope that someone here knows visual basic well. These are the questions, I need to make a program for each of the following:
1. Forms and Variables - Orion Electrics would like to be able to password protect files or areas of its hard drive so that only certain staff have access to these files. Write a program that allows for a password to be entered and checked to see if its valid or not.
2. Price Calculator - Sutherland Bay Secondary College Mother's Association sells a range of second hand books. They find it difficult to produce a receipt for the customer and it is time consuming to see how many of each book they have sold. Create a program that will allow sales to be entered, a total calculated and this information to be printed. The same data needs to be added to a list to produce a total of which books have been sold.
3. Number Guessing Game - Design a program which allows you to input text or numeric data with range validation and the use of selection statements. For example, the number guessing game in Chapter 5 of the textbook incorporates these features.
4. Iteration and Arrays - Design a program which allows you to input text and numeric data with range and data type validation and the use of iteration statements. For example, a program that inputs the name, individual price and number of items purchased, then displays the final list of items and a summary of the total to be paid (much like an invoice). This would most likely require the use of arrays.
I'm pretty sure that I have number 3 under control. But I've got no clue about the rest of them. If anyone could make me these so that I could have a look at them, I would be very grateful. BTW the school only has VB 6 so anything made would need to use the same commands as that..
Thanks guys.
