I'm just trying to write a few basic tutorials for the new sections…I'm not to good with pictures, so if anybody would like to make some…Hint hint Greg ;)..it would be greatly appreciated…
Getting Familiar with The SRL Forums
While some people are veterans to the Internet, for many people, visiting this site, may be their first experience with an online community. This tutorial will give you a basic layout, and help you to navigate around the forums more quickly and efficiently. It will also touch on basic site edict, and how to best get the questions for your answers.

1. User Computer. Selecting this button will bring up another menu, allowing you to perform tasks that are associated with your account and how you use the site.
Private messages are used to communicate directly with other members of this board.
Subscribed Threads are links to topics you thought were interesting.
Edit Signature allows you to set a limited amount of information about yourself after each post you have made.
Edit Profile allows you to change the personal information about you that is displayed to the rest of the community.
Edit Options allows you to change the way you view this site.
My Profile is the personal information you choose to be displayed.
Edit Favorite Smilies sets your preferences for smilies you use most in conversations.
2. FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions). Selecting this button will allow you to acess a list of the most asked questions, pertaining to this site, and and how to navigate it. This is seperate from the questions pertaining to the use of SCAR/SRL.
3. Member's List. Here you will find a list of all members of this community.Clicking on their names, you will be able to access further information that they have decided to share, such as geographical location and contact information.
4. Calender. Displays a current calender. Here you will find people's birthdays, or activities planned by this site.
5. iSpy. Is a scrolling message board, showing the current activity of the forums in all areas. It is Instantly updated as people post.
6. Wiki. This is a group collective effort to maintain information about SRL. It may be accessed and edited by anyone, and is constantly evolving. Think of this as a giant tutorial, with any information you may need to know. (If you decide to contribute, Please be forewarned, that there is a 100% Zero Spam Tolerance.)
7. Bug Tracker. This section is used to contain information regarding any bugs that may be associated while using SRL.If you experience any kind of mysterious Bugs, check here to see if other people have encountered the same thing, and whether a remedy has been posted. Any problems with SCAR can be reported directly to their website www.freddy1990.com .
8. New Posts. This displays the amount of new public conversations since your last visit. Clicking on it, will bring up a new page displaying these posts with direct links.
9. Search. This is perhaps the biggest asset to any site. Being able to look for the information and answers to the questions you would like to know about.
10. Quick Links. Clicking on this, brings up another mini-menu, allowing you acess to the most commonly used features.
Today's Posts shows the latest topics started or commented on during this visit.
Mark Forums Read resets the colored buttons from green to their default color.Next time you visit, all areas with new messages, will be noted again with a green button.
Open Buddy List will display all your current freinds you have added and their status, online or off.
Edit Signature,Edit Profile and Edit Options are all quick links to your User Control Panel.
11. Donate. Many people are unaware of the financial obligations that re required to maintain this site. The SCAR software is provided for free, as well as the SRL includes.Some money is generated in the adds displayed on this site, however a negative balance is always incurred every month. The owners make up for this difference from their own pockets, out of love for this site. If you would like to contribute, please follow this link. Any donations you make are very much appreciated.
