Wheatpicker, cabbage banker, etc. Yes.
Power miners/choppers, yes. Which ones?
Auto fighters yes. Which ones?

What else?

Well, we don't want any room for them to make spam bosts (BBQ, gaming, etc) but a general is good, a FAQ, some cheap learning scripts, BEGINNER only tuts so they don't sh*t themselves looking at the wrong section tuts, etc. I think so mainly.

Why would you want it so certain posts don't come up in iSpy?

Remember, we also have to give them the odd section to actually be able to contribute and get their activity up.

As you said in another thread, I really don't have time to read hundreds of nooby posts. I really wanna get B4 done, and write some scripts lol.

Some scripts.. not all the ones that are in the free scripts section, just a few.

Help forum, no requests, no bbq or any other 'offtopic' forums, general chat, first scripts section, and some simple stuff that works well, ie HyperSecret AutoFighter, a powerminer, powercutter, and something like Nielsie's wheatpicker. Threads cannot be made by insiders. All in one forum, so those who don't wish to see it can easily hide it.

Yea help, tutorials, some basic scripts, off topic section, download srl section i reckon.

The more I think about this, the more it occurs to me that we probably dont even need this split. I mean, these are the current levels: Admin > Mod > Dev > SSRL > SRL > Normal. Do we really want to add on Half Normal to that list? Thats a whole lot of ranks, which is pretty pointless. This is just going to create more work, and I dont think the results of this wont be great, or effective.

But there still is a problem. So do a prune of all users who have been here for over a month who have < 10 posts. As in, delete them. Then make the scripts section limited to people who have > 20 good posts. To make sure that they are good, we would need more mods, and need to be stricter on the rules. We would need to be deleting stupid/worthless posts, and giving infractions. A good post would be a post which is relevant and is at least semi-intelligent. The help section would also need > 20 good posts to post a topic. Everyone would be able to view, or post replies. Anyone can view everything else.

For this to work properly we would need to Tidy this joint up.

And every month or so, we would do a prune of all users with < 10 posts. Honestly, another divide in an already very divided forum is more trouble than its worth, imo.

It's either this or closing regs. It terms of work it will be more. But its for the better, especially with learning.
