On the whole, could autoing have any significant impact on the Runescape economy? Do you think it would hurt it or help it?

If too many people start autoing, and some smartass decides to start selling yews or ess for less than everyone else, and actual competition started between sellers, do you think there would be a massive loss in value?

I'm sure Jagex has never worried about it, or at least publicly addressed it, but might over-autoing cause massive inflation and crash the game's little economy? :stirthepot:

Autoing has already had a huge impact on the RS economy. Look at all the flax pickers - I'm sure if there weren't as many flax-autoers the price of flax would be much higher. The same goes for yews, and especially ess (Jagex actually got involved with this by making pure ess). Then, if there was a mass-ban, no more autoed goods, and the prices would go back up again.

And don't you mean deflation, not inflation?

So basically no autos means runescape being thrown into turmoil. the crappy graphics and stupid repetitive mindless tasks are kinda boring arent they?
Even car companies realized that making humans do boring mindless repetitive jobs was bad so they go tem bots to help.

No macros will mean a whole lot less members, all prices skyrocketing since the macroers and macro profiters are some of the richest people in rs and have the most goods.

Without Macros and such rs would dye in a matter of weeks unless jagex changed teh "codes" and did something to get people cheap goodies.

It really isnt as hard as youd think to kill off us macros, a change however small every couple of weeks would be bad, like changing the ban sybol to something completely different, not very hard for the makers but bad for the health of the cheaters, or seriously upgrading the graphics or changing the colours a bit, unnoticable to the naked eye but would need a looooot of tolerence to be found by scar.
Yay rs needs macros to keep its income in the millions and to get people to keep playing the game, all legits hate macros but we still keep playing and the whole yew thing wouldnt exist without macros would it?

Macroing has ruined the rs economy, but hey! It's just a game, I don't see why we shouldn't
