I started using Smart today.

Get the latest java first before continuing.

From: BenLand100
The registry, and typing problem will be fixed in the next version just as an fyi.

These are a few bugs I got:

First error:

Could not initialize SMART.
Error Code [16711422]

This one isn't too hard to handle.

Open Regedit.
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment
Add a string in there named 'BrowserJavaVersion'.
It's value should be: '1.6.0_02'

It should now add to the list which also holds the string 'currentversion' and 'installstatus'.

Done.

Second:

Replace TypeSend with this:

procedure TypeSend(Text: string);
var
i: Integer;
Shift: Boolean;
begin
SmartSendKeys(Text + Chr(10));
end;

Third:

SmartSetup needs a prefix world, not a number.
Like this:

  SmartSetup('ams3', false, false);

A list of all prefixes can be found in the SCSS folder.

Before you include anything else, include smart.scar

In very the beginning of your script,

Call the following:

SmartSetup('ams3', false, false);
SetTargetDC(SmartGetDC);

This will start up the client, you might want to add:

  repeat
wait(100);
until welcometorunescape;

You need to drag the crosshair once.

Fourth: 'MSVCR71.dll was NOT found.'

http://www.advancedinstaller.com/for...pic.php?t=1801

Just copy'ing the file does it. (MSVCR71.dll)

From your java installdir/bin/*here*
To C:/Windows/system32/*here*

Fifth: Failed when compiling
Line 1: [Error] (16634:11): Duplicate identifier 'MOVEMOUSE' in script C:\Program Files\SCAR 3.12_3\includes\Smart.scar

You need include Smart.scar before anything else.

I got it running now, and I must say, it rocks my socks.
I already see forward to your next version with a lower fps, Ben.

I hope this has helped.

PS: It is not a wrong forum, cause you download Smart.scar include here.

Now we just need a new tutorial, that starts from scratch, and tells you every little step to get exactly to start autoing :D hahaha I'm a noob. :f:

But I just don't wanna mess anything up.

well smart does not work all the way… it fails in some stuff… yohojo and i are fixing some problems but others arise.. some we cannot fix so we blame freddy and bens unorganized releases XD as a joke to take out all are anger… i mean

we only have 100 versions of scar and SMart to test out… try that in combinations XD!

and i have a theroy that ben and freddy are working together with the plot to destroy us all using the combination of SMart and scar.

i mean smart lagged so bad for me one time… i got D/C from my network( twice )

lol

also does smart handle bitmapmasks?

The fact is, as long as you do SetTargetDC, all searching method's scar preforms, are done on that bitmap, and the bitmap is one from the (offscreen) client, so that should be no problem.
The only problem I had was that it didn't detect that a Box was open. ;(

MSVCR71.dll is hiding from java again.
I just installed XP, so I lost all my MSN history, I forgot what the solution was you send me, it must have been something difficult, cause I forgot. :p

Not really, I think it was in RunTimeLib in regedit, I had to add a path?
Or Java control panel / Some other place I had to add a path.. to MSVCR71.dll.
I have located MSVCR71.dll, though.
It's in Program Files\java\jre 1.6.0_02\bin\*here*

Don't need to mess with the registry, this was the problem with the PATH eviromental variable ;) look up a tut for adding java to your path, thats what you need to do if i'm not mistaken.
