Well, to be honest, water can be naturally
red
.

Remember thing called IRON?

Ransom

2007-08-22 08:56:08

Natural water? NATURAL WATER???? is never pure. NATURAL water comes in many shades depending on how much stuff is in it. PURE (meaning distilled…just hydrogen and oxygen) water is quite clear. but PURE water is never natural (hardly)

Secet

2007-08-22 09:05:41

It really depends on how you define natural, in nature water can look black or red or anything in rivers or lakes, mostly because of different "things" (don't know word for this :P) in ground.

But if we speak about pure H2O, it's never colored. Ever seen colored steam?

So both are right, but also wrong. :)

SKy Scripter

2007-08-22 09:20:42

I Ment Pure H2O…. -.- I Still Think Im Correct.
And Ben Knew Exactly What i was talking about.. he just thought he'd have a little fun.

i mean common i knew the sea's exicted.. just was saying there not actually Red or Black.

and i think wer'e talking about two diffrent natural waters for the most part.

Bam Bam

2007-08-22 10:52:32

Pure water is simply and only H20. Its not the water thats "black" or "red" its the stuff in the water that causes it to appear that way.

2007-08-22 10:55:41

u can just put some cool aid in it an it turns red :D When i was somewere the water had turned pink/black/red/green because of the sulfur and stuff around that turns it red and black for some reason :?

Actually, pure water is bad for you. It sucks the nutrients out of you.

And, yes, "purified" water is completely clear. But things like Iron = red, Copper = green, And other chemicals like sulfur make it black…

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Sky half right? He said there's no such thing as a black sea, and the link you gave said the water turns to color like black tea, which isn't black but extremely brown :)

It is unclear what causes red tides; their occurrence in some locations appears to be an entirely natural occurrence[1], while in others they appear to be a result of human activities[2] The frequency and severity of algal blooms in some parts of the world have been linked to increased nutrient loading from human activities

that would be a ridicules color for water considering water can be a dif between clear and light blue if you want to get natural XD…

Alot of water Will Apear to be a diffrent color because water is naturally Clear.. and therfore you can sea stuff like seaweed… and ect… which seems like a diffrent color…

if Water Was To "Become" a diffrent color…. then i dont think it would happen naturally….

So, It's the reflections of the Dolphins that make it appear Blue ?

R0b0t1

2007-08-23 18:27:39

You can't possibly change the "natural" (clear) color(?) of water. You would have to change the oxygen and hydrogen elements, but then they would not be oxygen and hydrogen, so you're liquid wouldn't be water.

Pfft. Oxymoron.

it could because of the reflection on the Sky. (not me) XD

btw. "Red Tide" isnt the water its self… its the algae.. unlike Salt Water…. The "Red Tide" will eventually goo… bye bye :)

Just for future reference, its salt that makes water salty, not the water itself ;) However, salt water is a solution so it won't settle out :)

that fiji water you buy in those rectangle bottles is probably some of the best water you can buy at a gasstation :)

it wont freeze at 32* F 0* C because it is to pure to freeze.

super cool (somewhere around -10 degrees celsius) it then hit / shake it…. it will freeze intantly :) fun stuff. fiji water is pure enough to do this with :)

its all to do with cooling the liquid/solution at a certain rate, making it supercooled, it has nothing (that im aware of) to do with impurity of the water. and according to their website, their water isnt pure at all, it has heaps of minerals and shit in it, like all water, bottled or from the tap.

a whole range of liquids can be supercooled, just as they can be superheated. but in this case you're using water as a general term. if you're talking about the water molecule then no single molecule is more pure than the other.

bottled water is pretty stupid i reckon, water is water is water. if you want 100% real, pure water, then boil tap water to kill the bacteria, and condense the steam into a plastic bottle. everything that is not the h2o molecule will not be in the plastic bottle, provided that its clean lol. as far as pure water goes, that fiji water is actually extremely impure. not unnatural, but impure.

it amazes me how people can be sucked into believing all the propaganda the water companies put out about their product lol..
