New World Switcher

As always, we are trying to create new procedures and Functions for SRL. The thing is, not all procedures work well on all computers.
This is where you come in!

Name:
World Switcher - by Starblaster100

Description:
From the Logout screen, it will switch world depending on the world type you set.

Instructions:
1 = Switch from Current to a Free World
2 = Switch from Current to a Members World

Please test all of the combinations out and post back here with your results. I know it works for the IE Client and IE, but im not sure about other browsers and if it works the same for everyone.

Note: Sometimes the world will not load properly, and i know this. The script will wait 15 seconds for the login screen to appear, and if it doesn't it will try again. Patience!

Note 2: This was developed using SSi2.txt. It can easily be switched to SRL, so no worries there ;)

Thanks for helping the SRL Dev team

Just tested both a couple of times and work great ;)

I used firefox and they worked fine, no worries there.
The first time I tried, the world didn't load properly and it went back and tried again :)

Overall this works brilliantly.

Starblaster…You could use the question mark found next to the advert as the identifier for opening a free world or a member world…

edit: after I spell the same word twice wrong…i have to wonder about myself

Thanks for that, never noticed that before, i shall update now :D

EDIT:

Ok, it was impossible to do, but i fixed so it would switch from the current world to the type you select. Please retest and post results here again

thanks

finally good identing, good job star, but i find it kind of useless until you make it select a speficied(sp?) world number 1 - whatever amount of worlds.

Works for me ;)
I don't see what it could be used for while autoing.. Maybe something to do with mods :)

Thats the plan - If a Mod talks, switch world instead of ending the script. Will make autoing longer a huge possibility, but autocolor picking would be needed for this to world well.

Ill see if i can change it at all, probably not but i can try

Yeah most scripts can auto-colour pick now anyway.. I'd be more worried about selecting the client..

I use Firefox, I get the worldswitcher to log out, click on free world and then wait till the screen is done, but then waits and after it waits for like 5 sec it goes to world select AGAIN :(
EDIT: With IE this won't work as well :(.

For Firefox this won't work, I use adblock plus and I can't see the question mark.

Works well except for one thing, it never found the cross bmp whatever that is. I removed that wait and it worked fine.
Although, when I use world switching, I just use SCSS, is there anything wrong with using that?

Wizzup?

2006-12-05 03:02:38

Nope, SCSS works fine aswell. :)

Yeah, last night I seen something identifyable to check if its currently free/members and that is on the title bar above the client it will say "Upgrade To Members" or something like that.

Well, if you want to use swift bitch and risk losing ur account thats ur choice, it's a known fact that swiftbitch has or has had keyloggers.
And it has way to much crap

I agree, though i dont use scss, ss just has too much extra 'stuff'. i just need a client to play with ( normal rs one). i like to use my own notepad, calculator, and full fansites for the guides and w/e else ss has stuffed in it. plus it is much safer, account security wise.

I wouldnt mind getting into using scss, but i dont have any scripts that really need it.

I just use the runescape download thing found at the site.. I mean one day ss will have lots of ppl using, and somebody might get a bit greedy…and then…..

anyway swift switch also makes runescape in the corner, which is annoying..i like the client in the middle… :D

Btw nice script…
