Sp0rk-eh Base64 Encryption Plugin - SCAR

Well, here it is. A scar plugin to encrpt strings. I don't know how useful it is to you guys, but some may find it useful.

Download

The functions are:

Encode('stringhere');
and
Decode('stringhere');

Pretty simple.

Edit: As some-one that will remain nameless has messaged me on msn, I will show you how to use this plugin. ^_^

Place the plugin in your plugins folder (i.e. C:\Program Files\SCAR 3.11\Plugins or whatever your path is).

Then run scar, and try this example script. You should then realise how to use it.

program TestPlugin;
begin
ClearDebug;
Writeln('Encrypted string:');
Writeln(Encode('I love srl.'));
Writeln('De-crypted string:');
Writeln(Decode('SSBsb3ZlIHNybC4='));
end.

The plugin uses Base64 Encryption. A little about this Encryption:

Base64 or quadrosexagesimal is a positional notation using a base of 64. It is the largest power-of-two base that can be represented using only printable ASCII characters. This has led to its use as a transfer encoding for e-mail among other things. All well-known variants that are known by the name Base64 use the characters A–Z, a–z, and 0–9 in that order for the first 62 digits but the symbols chosen for the last two digits vary considerably between different systems. Several other encoding methods such as uuencode and later versions of binhex use a different set of 64 characters to represent 6 binary digits, but these are never called by the name Base64.

So, enjoy =D

Have fun with this guys.

this would be cool if we didnt want non-srlmembers to see something if only we had acess to it. and we could be like people who talk in finnish but on a wider scale and only we will know what it is.

edit: even though we could post on our forums anyway

but good job.

So how would you make it encode the entire script upon opening if you didnt want any1 to see the coding?

Esteban

2007-08-15 23:35:14

Say I wanted to encrypt a script with this so the code is unreadable. How then would the script be decrypted so it could be compile w/o the script runner seeing the decrypted code?

bullzeye95

2007-08-15 23:58:45

I wouldn't see how that's possible unless you save the encrypted script as a file, enable API calls, decrypt the file, and open it in another SCAR window.

Infantry001

2007-08-16 00:21:01

You can't. Only Freddy can. Pay him 1mil, and he might encrypt your script for you ;)

Well this isnt an obfuscator so go ahead santa lol. Looks pretty sweet spork, and grats on members too :)

This is useless for encryption, you can't run strings.

Even I cant see your and ben's faces, I can tell that you and ben have something incommon (right word?)

@Santy - Obfuscation and encryption is similar, BUT this encryption cna only be used for string, not the whole script. If you want to amke an obfuscator, go ahead! I assure oyu everyone will use it :D

@markus - You run strings like this:

Writeln(Decrypt('noudah87i4wt'));

Markus

2007-08-16 12:26:27

I was talking about running scripts from encrypted strings, I know that this is only usefull for decrypting/encryptiong scripts.

Because our pay script will have 100x stronger than this encryption, not just base64. That might be a little easy :p

Don't be mad, the encryption I have developed for our pay script is alot stronger than this. Almost unbreakable.

I say almost, because in the end, everything can be cracked.

Don't worry :p

The encryption I've developed encrypts entire scripts, not just single strings.

Smartzkid

2007-08-16 16:14:54

How'd you do that?

Download the encrypted script from a website (or just store it in a local string), decrypt it, save it to the user's harddrive, open and run it, then delete it when it's done?

Oh, would you mind telling what kind of encryption is going on your payscript?

Markus

2007-08-16 16:42:36

It has a 128 bit key, I ain't tellin you more stuff, as that'll make cracking easier, but it's bit more advanced then just downloading+running. There are only 2 people who actually understand how it works, besides me.
First one to crack Deadauth gets 1mil, I (and another anonymous guy) spent a lot of time developping it, before I even told spork about it I got it pretty functional.

How long do you think it would take to crack a string encoded with base64? Also, is it like hashing, where, the longer the string, the longer it'll take to crack?

PS: Sp0rk, you guys are still planning on releasing a time trial, correct?

About 2 seconds xD

Don't know, we haven't discussed it.

v1 will only support Catherby Fisher and banker next versions will probably include other locations such as Draynor,Fally and Karamja

Havent discussed yet, but I already added support for it in the auth system.

So many questions. Also, it sounds like you are putting the script in a string, you are using widestring right? I don't know how much space a regular string has.

4096 bit keys.

As you double the key length, you square the combinations >=]

EDIT: I'm guessing you are using Delphi? Does Delphi have memory streams?

Markus

Yes, Delphi has mem streams.
