Well, its not like I would be hurrying you or anything, but I think its good idea, that the SRL 4.0 that you are currently testing, would be released to members, and members could test it. That ways, the possible bugs and flaws could be found easier.

Yea I suppose that would reduce the number of post saying 'HELP THIS STUPID THING WON'T WORK' but then again it would also reduce the number of people testing it.

When something needs fixing in SRL 4.0 we can easily fix it, commit it to the repos, so that you can download it. I dont decide on stuff like this but i can tell you the answer is no. There is just no need ;) be patient.

Well, I don't think it would make it faster, because first of all, not everyone would test. Second of all, we way not know waht to look for! And, of course, Devs want to do it their way.
