well ive downloaded some films now i want to burn onto a cd to play on dvd player has anyone got any recomended burning programme for me plz

I think .VCDs work for dvd players but you can use Nero(Bittorrent) or Sonic RecordNow which I use.

You want to burn them to a cd or a dvd? I know your topic says cd, but im just checking that's what you meant.

VCD but is it a file small enough to go on a CD? Also, DVDs can hold better quality so I'd just burn all of them to a DVD Data disk. Any dvd player that can play DivX would have no problem with them.

Download DVDSanta. It's a great program, converts the files (speedily) then gives you the option to burn to disc now or later. It's like a no fuss program.

VSO ConvertXtoDVD is what i use.
Google and download.

Hmm, why burn to DVDs when you can have CDs do the exact same thing for around half the price per disc? You lose no quality when compressing down to a CD. At least I don't notice, maybe a computer program designed to check quality would but to the human eye I can't tell the difference. If you want to compress DVD movies to be able to fit on CDs that can be played on a DVD player, just download Dvd Shrink. (Google it, I am too lazy to link it) There is an option in the program that you can make the compression ratio and what you want the movie to fit onto. It compresses the movie into Video format files that can be burnt on to a CD inside the program. Burn them and you now have DVD movies on CDs for half the price of a DVD.

Apollo Divx to Dvd Convertor is the best program I have found to convert divx movies to dvd format. Just get the free version with 3 uses or get a copy off bittorent with a serial. It will join the movies if its in more than 1 part and convert it and put it to standard dvd format to work on any dvd player.
