Ok, I thought with all these questions coming up and people not autoing properly I would just make this thread, there is no perfect way to do anything, however my way has never gotten me banned and I find autoing easy.

Includes

Now you may be wondering, "What are includes?" or "Why do I keep getting errors like Include file C:\Program Files\basic\includes\srl\srl.scar does not exist.?". Well, to answer those simple questions, includes are just files to store functions and procedures, it makes it easier to create scripts. If you are missing an include, normally you can get it by going File >> Download includes (Currently only the Planet Hell Include is there) or to get SRL you can go File >> Download SRL.

To use includes you simply add "{.include whatever.scar}" to the top of your script. I'm not going to be telling you how to script though.

Running a script

You need to first fill out the constants and/or variables, the script should have little notes telling you how to do that. Sometimes you have to pick colours though, SCAR has a handy little colour picker that you can use (if you really can't find it post). If you use the SCAR Browser all of the above is done for you. After which you need to go to the proper location, drag the crosshair over the RS window and hit run. SCAR can be used with many games though, you can drag the crosshair over any of them depending on what script you are running.

Autoing Responsibly

If you don't auto correctly even autoers will report you! To auto correctly you should use an account over level 30, not wearing noob clothing and try not to do more than 1 account at once. It's also a good idea to check on your character constantly, maybe leave it for a maximum of 30mins - 2hours depending on the quality of your script.

Where To Find Scripts

I know people say there is no such thing as a stupid question…but that's a stupid question, if you honestly don't know where to find scripts, you could look on this site, http://SRL-Forums.com, http://moparisthebest.com, or http://sythe.org. Still there are maybe hundreds of other sites.

Should I Take Other People's Scripts?

You can…just you should start posting in the community, not just questions about scripts but maybe try to answer questions or even learn to script. Leaching is frowned upon but this site is not anti-leach, you can leach but it doesn't mean anybody is going to be nice to you about it, ever. Especially Se7eN :P, actually it just seems like that because he gets the first post is sometimes and we have has a lot of leachers lately. So if you want to take some stress off of me and Se7eN PLEASE do not leach :P.

How To Post An Error Report

It's as simple as post the error and the script, simple as that, do it any differently then NOBODY can help you!!

When To Auto

Auto when you are at least level 15, I can tell you I am tired of seeing level 3 autoers and so is ever body else so just DO NOT be level 3 and auto.

NEVER ask these questions, they have been answered so many times:

A: The script is outdated, get a new one

Q: Why am I getting things like:

Include file C:\Program Files\SCAR 3.11\includes\library2.txt does not exist.

One thing you forgot, get some combat levels before autoing!

I'm personally very tired of seeing level 3's autoing with their rune pickaxes.

But it doesn't have the actual include files…..I'll update this tut for combat lvls.

hey, I'm like an expert at setting up SCAR, but I told my friend about it, he installed it, the subversion, srl, the includes, moved plugins, and when he runs a script it goes to compiled then executed or ******.dll is missing

any help? Right now i'm helping him by running his chars on my scar

Leaching is using the scripts and the efforts of members of this community, and not contributing anything yourself. You don't have to be a scripter to not be a leach, constructive comments and activity on the forums (not spam) is good too
