ok so i was making some mind runes on my mage today and saw someone cursing and reported them (i do that to throw jagex away from macroers) and the idea came to me that you could put a procedure into a random check procedure that looks for the * (asterisk) in the chat window and if it sees one then it reports the person for offensive language.

pros: would throw jagex off a bit, clog the report abuse, get rid of people cursing

cons: possible increase in ban possibility, multiple report attempts slowing scripts, less legit players :D lol

so what yall think? it could be an addin for scar since its such a simple procedure but idk. just wanting some feedback on the idea.

i couldn't make the rest of the functions, but u would have to make em.
where GetBoxFromChatLine would give the x1, y1, x2, y2 for chatline i.
gettextonchatline would get the text from line i;
ReportPerson (too lazy to find SRL name for it) will report dude for offensive language.

yeah, monkey, thats the general idea with it. and you could use srl chat functions to do alot of it.

Um I personally want macroers to be banned… Almost all macroers that they ban are RSDemon.

Yeah, and, its really annoying (was) when I used to play rs, when I talked to my friends(finnish), every time the last letter got a * and sometimes whole words…

I wanted to make a script with a similar intent to this, except it looked for key phrases like 'free trimming' and things like that and then would report. Could just sit in free world banks and report lots of nubs. I never made it, I just wanted to see if I could auto myself up to a mod.

I don't really think looking for the asterisks though is a very good idea simply because of the points mentioned above, and how tight the censor is. Possibly things like 'you ********' and 'go **** yourself' maybe :p, but not just the asterisks alone.
