Ok first off sorry if im not allowed to post this. I checked the rules and and im not breaking any rules :)


Ok on a private server called Dodian (its up 24/7 and it has a real economcy), some certain people have been able to dupe items. You cant use ::item ::setitem ::crackme ::crackers or any commands like that. Also, cheat clients dont work and you cant drop any items so they must be doing something else.

Does anyone know what they are doing?


P.S Am i right in thinking that they are using something to intercept packets between their client and the server? I tried it using WPE Pro but record packets and play them back..but nothing happened. Please someone help me its driving me crazy trying to figure out how to do this, because i really really want to be able to.

I may be able to shed some light on it allthough it doesnt parrticularly apply to scar or srl….I was a big diablo fan and of course diablo 2 and expansion!Well in that game they eventually made a program to duplicate items,adjust item stats,create items from scratch,and change hero stats and lvls… for those of you interested its called (hero editer)the latest version is 8.1 …well a private (rs) server is basically a server that runs a "stolen" or "copy" of the game.Therefore the cheating prevention steps the said game has put in place can be removed(and not just 'can' be removed they 'are' removed)so it is possible to make a "duplication" program and or "stat editer"…this answeres the question of how its possible? but im afraid i cant answere the questions of how to make it? or where to get an existing program?… Hope i helped a lil bit at least!

But….. Diablo is a program installed on your computer, and then connected to the internet and runescape is all internet. I've hacked a few MMO's that are installed on your computer (flyff, maplestory) and lemme tell ya, its a lot easier (and more legal) do hack those than stuff like runescape (all internet)

Ive already tryed everything with rs2 using wpe pro. Nothing is going to work cause when u edit some is just going to be client side.

Just try some *intelligent* packet editting. Do the old 0-item offer trick, maybe it works.

Not a real server. A private server

Try the diablo approach. See if you can find the program from Diablo and try to edit it if you can get at the coding. Of course, you could also dupe in Diablo without a program, and it was quite easy.

The program for Diablo is probably going to be some little hex/adress editor like CE, or iCheat. What you want is WPE and packet editing for Dummies. (not that you're dumb, its just that Pe-ing RS will be a helluva lot harder than Diablo XD)

Ok, thanks for the advice! I'll have a look for a 'packet editing for dummies' guide now :)

I read some where that packet editing infringes copyright laws or something. I know thats true for Maple Story but I'm not sure about Runescape.

Btw, it's not illegal unless you are stealing. There was this like 3000 post thread on the subject in GameCheetah, and someone FINALLY looked it up and found out that it;s not illegal unless you are stealing (ex: for maplestory, that would be NXcash)

For runescape the client(moparscape ect) are illegal. They brake jagex copyright laws

Are the client is really illegal? You might want to tell all the ignorant people WHY it's illegal.

whats the point of hacking a hacked rs2 version :S?
