Dear __________,
Thank you for your appeal.
We regret to inform you that this account has been banned because of Macroing.
Please refer to article number 7 in the Rules of Conduct:
Rule 7: You must not attempt to use other programs (e.g. bots, macros or autominers) in conjunction with our games to give yourself an unfair advantage at the game. You also may not circumvent any of our mechanisms designed to log out inactive users automatically.
We do not discuss our detection process with anyone, to do such would give auto/macro users information to help them avoid detection. For all the details on our macro detection that we are willing to give out please read the Macro FAQ, which can be found by selecting the link titled 'Explore the knowledge base' under the 'Knowledge Base' section on the main page of our website (www.runescape.com).
We are 100% confident in our macro detection systems, and in the highly trained staff who monitor and take action based on the results presented by these systems, and as such are 100% confident that you have been using such a program.
In normal circumstances this would result in the permanent removal of your account from the game, however upon reviewing your history we have decided to place you on a temporary 7 day ban instead.
Please be aware that your account now has 3 Black Marks and that we will be monitoring the activities of your account closely. Any further breaches of the Rules of Conduct will result in your account being permanently removed from the game.
The usage of these programs ruins the game for honest players and is not how the game has been designed to be played. We will not tolerate a minority of players using these programs to achieve by computer what fair players have accomplished through honest hard work and game play.
We suggest that you take the time to make yourself familiar with our Rules of Conduct which can be found in the 'Information and Advice' section of www.runescape.com
Yours Sincerely
Mod Si

Dear Jagex,
This has me verry worried! When my laptop was lagging when i was fletching and i couldn't answer the strange box i knew something bad was going to happen. I don't think i've ever broken any rules and I know i've never broken the really bad ones. I've been around since rsc and have been a paying member for a long time. I trust your system and know this will all
**********************************
Funny thing is, i get people all the time asking me if i'm the benland100 from srl/kaintieks/everywhere else… And, if they've got 100% flawless detection methods, how come i've got a temp ban from auto fletching over 10k yew longs in less then 2 days ;) I dunno what i got the first two black marks from though… Overall, this gave me a real good laugh :D I guess this is a lesson not to use scripts with static cords and no antirandoms  (I was in a hurry XD)
P.S. Like my ban appeal XD
P.P.S. This is the third time i've gotten this "Any further breaches of the Rules of Conduct will result in your account being permanently removed from the game." :D

Lol, nice!:p
I got my main banned for macroing, and when I appealed they removed all black marks, and said they made a mistake..
Nice appeal by the way, I like the part "When my laptop was lagging when i was fletching and i couldn't answer the strange box i knew something bad was going to happen."
Rofl, Jagex custoemr support isn't that smart..

Lol. My main was banned too. They gave me a 7 day suspension. But a few days later they banned me again.
How to you guys think they detect you?
I don't think it has much to do with mousemovements anymore because of bensmouse and such things. (I could be wrong)
I personally think they monitor the time between each chat messages and stuff and time between each camara movement, and if you dont talk over a certain amount of time or if you dont move your view is a certain amount of time, they flag you. - then ban.
Actuly they have Java code in the client that sends your curent mouse position and asll info about it to the server who anylizes it and determines if you are a human of bot.
Ben, never use static coords! :p You could have atleast used MouseBox.

Yeah I new that but how can they tell if your a macroer if your using bens mouse?
And thats also why I think wait sucks, who the hell keeps there mouse completly still.
Thats why you use "sleepAndMoveMouse" or bens scribble :p
Man that is a smart appeal. If your a member usually they let you off. You can also say and i was just going to slap more members on him to……..

There actualy is some truth in what i said ;) I woke up one morning and there were 42 strange boxes in my inventory ;) Thats the only reason they caught me i think.
But there are only 28 inventory spots :p
Unless the new box is stackable or you are exagerating :p

LOL!!!
i think the problem to all this is because the macros dont respond to players when they are asked sommething…
does jagex also look after your mouse movements??? if they dont, then we wouldnt really need slow mouse movements, we could have very fast ones… if not, then we have to make more human stuff.
we could also make a random that, after some time (minutes) we could make SCAR get the camera move, put the camera to the bottom, and make it face the object we are mining/ chopping or whatever. Its just suggestions…
we also have to make something that makes sure that, if we fail on a random, we log OUT. we dont stay logged in. The mouse has to go off the screen sometimes, open a chat window, and type some chat stuff.
then it could go back.
This could be the most hardest project of all, but to make it ultamately human, we could combine scripts. for example, it could chop wood for an hour, then go mine coal, then chop wood again, fight monsters, sell logs, sell coal, fight monsters, and so on. that way, it could just be ignored by jagex.
To make much more human mouse movements, we could somehow make a mouse recorder, so SCAR would know how the mouse must move, how it must curve, and how far it misses.
I also noticed that log in scripts, for example, click the same ' area ' in the red box, just some pixels over, and it continuously does that. Jagex would know that and may ban you. We could randomize which areas the mouse should click.
i guess thats all the flaws we have:p

Yes they do, they have code in the client to monitor all mouse movments. (I believe only if they suspect you first)
Have a look at Wizzup?'s powerminer .72pub
Done, and done.
Working on it…..
Done, the hardest part is to find and equation to match the movments. I like the way quadratic movments go, but they are to unreliable since if you have to points close together, but one higher on the screen then it will
sometimes produce a curve that is far from human.
Thats why we have:
Mouse(mousex, mousey,
ranx, rany : Integer; left : Boolean);
;)
You really need to look into SRL more and look around the forums. ;)

Yeah Wizzup's human powermining qualities are an excellent baseline, if you haven't watched his powerminer at work, do it now!!
RE: Login screen. Maybe just my understanding, but unless that is an IMAP, they can't tell where you click it, since HTML doesn't have that functionality on a normal image.
RE:stackable boxes… always have been. HILARIOUS story… when i got my first ever box… I thought someone was trying to hack me, so ran away like a madman and tried to drop the box, but it just started to stack up ina free inv spot. then i solved them all, got some cash and thought hey i need more of these money makers.
lol… WHAT A n00b.
I'm pretty sure that the biggest thing about being detected is being reported… thats the main thing that makes a difference. Otherwise just imagine the amount of data their servers would have to wade through… 1500-2000 people moving mice around and clicking, with a million different styles etc…
Fixed co-ordinates… thats another story.
An IDEA: get some lvl10-20 noobs and set up a dodgy autoclicker… see if it gets banned.

I couldnt find the right topic and didnt want to make a new one, but this is what happened to me lately.
My lvl3 miner which has lvl 72 mining got his first ban for 3 days. Funny thing is this account has never been autoed on, not even an autodropper was used, just pure human efford. Ive been powermining mostly in varrock noob mine, giving ores to ppl. My contact list is about 15-20 buddies whom i been trading ores.
Just recently i moved into mining guild powermining for a buddy of mine and 2 days later temp ban.
Off course everyone in guild with a bit of common sense will see lvl3 as an autominer.
This macro detection system as they describe it in the ban messages, is just a horesh*t. Sure they can detect plain autoclickers and whatever they had to detect aryan, but this is ridiculous.
