Damm, wish you had posted this a day earlier. I got it on TWO accounts! Next time i auto, ill probably get it.. I think my account is flagged.. Which is why i trade all of my autoed goods to my main the next morning ;)

On rikjess's account I solved it while running a screenshot script and got 666 pictures (coincidence), that when opened in paint, give me perfect coords.

bullzeye: For the object IDing I don't know yet. For the what comes next bit I was thinking of getting the green background colors, and getting a TPA of the non-green colors. With that I could SplitTPA for things like 3 arrows or pair of boots. For swords/staffs I was thinking of coming in to the center from the edge of a circle until it hits a non-green, and doing this from 4 directions, and getting the difference of the radii of opposing directions, repeating this from different angles, and if it comes up with a big number and a small number then its a staff/sword/etc. I need someone like pups for the object IDing.

The rest of it is easy, I just need some more info.


BTW: When you pm your username/password, since I am using a script to take screenshots, it only takes me 5 minutes to do it starting from when I read your pm :p.

hey i have been auto mining for about 7 hours and i have got the random twice, so mining triggers it.

If you mean what info I need about an account that is in the random, I need username and password.

If you mean what info do I need to solve the random besides object ID:
I need a list of all categories for type 1 and 2, and the corresponding hints for type 2. I need to know all possible door configurations (ie if he says green southwest, could there be 2 door in southwest, meaning we have to go by color too).

For the object IDing: I'm getting bitmaps for every item.

When I use paint all my coords are 3 on x and y off?
I have to do +3 for both x and y to get them to work..

This random will be hard to solve. You have to pick which item goes next in the pattern. So it will be like 3 hats, then like 20 objects and you have to choose the hat. The items are rotating and black and white. Also, when you leave the teacher says, exit through the door with a (Green, Blue, Red) cross on it, but that won't be to hard…

The more accounts I run through it, the more I am finding things that make it easier than it first appears. The only hard thing will be the object IDing, which I have managed to reduce the work for, but it's still hard.

Must be a limit to how many more you need? lol

Dunno, but could it be easy if we'd "check for animation" like this:
We need 1 scar script running on background, setting MarkTime when we press f2 and when we press f3 it writelns the time between them. So, we could actually detect the animation lol… But that way kinda sucks, because we would need to do that for every possible item appearing in that random, so maybe I'll forget about that.
I think you can do some secret admin leet turbo pascal to solve it :D

yay! i got it! it was on my legit main while i was cutting daimonds/rubys. It seems it can happen really anytime, no specific skill.

are we seriously trying to solve this random with bitmaps?

why dont you take a look at scar frame sampling rates, and speed in terms of finding a bitmap, say, if you take a new picture every few milliseconds, scar doesnt quite have the speed, in terms of picture taking, as well as processing.

my suggestion would to rely on object anlysis, including ratio's of hight/width, as well as skeletonization, corner, and blob detection.

Ratio won't work. If I looked good at the example pic at rs.com the h/w are pretty much the same of every item.

I started sorting the pictures into categories, but I'm just collecting more atm (new 300gb hd!) and will continue sorting after SRL 4.0. I'm pretty sure I've seen all the sets for the first question, but I still see sets for the second question which I haven't seen before.

I Got This Random When I was In Lumbridge And Telepprted To Camelot. It Stopped Me Before I Could Teleport though. I Hope This Helped A Little. I would have liked to help you With giving my Account and Pass but i have only gotten it once.

I only got the first type of question, and it's even hard to do legit.

Yes, as fast or faster than a human. My screenshot taking script that I run while solving it has a wait in there, because its too fast. Without the wait, SCAR can get the bitmap more times in a second than the client is showing frames per second. That is to say, without the wait, a screenshot looked exactly the same as th one before it.

BTW, if anyone tries to ID objects in those pics, only look at the ones on the bottom.

Yea I got it for the first time legitly this morning, Wcing. Which is good because I saw for the first time what it looks like when you first get it, which is different to what it looks like after logging out and in.

you can also get this random event if you have a dialogue (shop, bank) open for a long time (over 30 minutes) then close it, you usually get a mysterious old man, genie or this, so I'm assuming (from my exensive runescape playing) that you can get this random event the same way you can get any of the others I just listed.

Is it member or non members? Boreas, if we send you our information, how can you do it? If we log out, then it will be gone, if we are both online together, you won't be able to log in.

It is non-members (members can get it too though). If you log out, randoms don't go away, that would make it REALLY easy for bots. So If you get the random, just log out as soon as you're teleported to the classroom, and the next time it's logged in, it will still be there.

You get free exp for a skill of your choice. IIRC, the higher the skill you choose, the more exp you get.

if i get it on one of my noobs i will gladly send it to you but i cant imagine going a day without a member of my mining army

unfortunately i read this thread 2 days late… I got the school 3 times in a day on one account… all in varrock bank.
All i was doing was trading, high alching and cutting gems.
Ironically I had sadly stopped killing hillies for prayer exp, but with the school randoms I got alot more with alot less effort :)… and I wasn't even autoing :(

To buckcakes and others, worse case scenario would be 18 hrs, if you sent it to me just after I went to bed, and then I had an early shift at work. Other than that, I check my pms pretty often, and once I read the pm it takes like 5 mins.

All the items are similar shades of gray, so you pretty much have to go by shape. The items spin very fast. There are a lot of different items that look similar. We need to know all possible items to solve it.

Ive had it twice, i thought you solved it else i would of handed it over… first time i just had to pick the next one for each of the three, but the second time on the third time round it made me pick the relvant items from a hint and i found that hard enough by myslef :p….

You can trust Boreas. For a million reasons, I'll list a few

1)He's an Admin
2)He's a Dev
3)He has the highest post count on SRL (I know post count doesn't matter but it shows he's been here for a while :p)
4)Probably hundreds of people have pmed him w/ account details (3 or 4 from me) and nobody has said anything

I won't steal your accts, I have 21 of my own (23 including main and test) which are enough work to manage :p

Have you guys tried using the hint word to help identify the shapes. I remember one of them was 'pirate' and that meant i had to look for jewels. If the anti-random script found that the hint keyword matched one of the ones in its database then it would be much faster to find the shapes. Other than that I can't think of another way to solve it other than the script taking realtime screenshots and analyzing the bitmaps and cross referencing them to known ones in the script.

I get this one a lot during mining so its super annoying. I think that this random needs to be solved or else SCAR's popularity will be jeopardized (i get these every 20-40 mins) because I know that doing this in java would probably be easier than pascal.

Just my 2 cents. I wish i could help but school takes priority.

Couldn't you upload your script and let us run it while we do the random. Is there any possiblity that you can tell us the exact way you would do the random if you had goten it and let us do it while running your script. Then we send you the pics your script took?

Just as a heads up, this random doesn't happen everywhere. In the mining guild i have NEVER gotten it (and i've mined 4k coal there). In varrock east however; i've gotten it about 6 times while mining 4.5k iron.

So far at the Falador Mines (not in the Guild), I haven't received him yet…(despite getting about 6 levels).

Look, in this type of community you don't become a moderator if you do something so petty as steal people's accounts. Also, despite what you may believe, lvl 93 with 11-15m is not all that high, especially compared to some of the older members of this community who've been around since the start of kaitnieks.

It's a personal choice, sure, but don't put the air of immorality around the senior members of the group unless they have actualy done something wrong.

LOL. I know he isn't an account stealer, but you made one weak, self-contradicting list there.
If anything, an Admin who is asking for account details would be much more threatening, because that would mean that the 'nobody' who has their account stolen, would be banned and unable to communicate to others.

Do you know if the items' rotation speeds are consistent in their own…type?
Ex.
Fish - 500 MPH
Fish - 500 MPH
Sword - 800 MPH
Or if they vary between speeds, just fast enough to keep a bot from recognizing them?

Speeds vary. So does rotational axis.

No, Boreas already has a script for it. I just sent time an account of mine and he ran his script on it. Since I found my character back where it got teled from with the random event's reward, I'm assuming it worked fine. Or at least he learned how to improve it.

Hopefully this random won't be a problem in the much anticipated future.

Maybe it would be possible to use the border on the items to 'draw' a circle? If the object length is different, then it might be possible to watch a sword spin for 30 seconds, get the highest radius, and then the circumference…

Idk much about scripting yet(like making own functions and stuff) but would it be possible for that screenshot script to be running while doing that random and be constantly comparing screen shots that would be stored in some variable?
Or just look at the columns and like have it take screenshot find a box and compare it with a variable already stored until it is true..and I have just lost myself there.

You can get this random while doing anything. Wether its just idling, wc, mining, fishing, construction, ect. You'll probably get this random.

It's been…It just logs out on that random. We are working on a solver though so just wait. You can still auto though.

a solver would be excellent. I've never really had this before, but in the past few days I've had it. It's annoying, but the reward is alright.
