If it is not there first script, then they don't need to post it in the First Script Section..

We are trying to encourage scripters to learn to script and make scripts of there own; Letting them post there scripts makes them feel good, because then people may give them compliments which makes the scripter feel like there work wasn't for no reason.

So let them post there scripts.. That's like saying "nobody is allowed to learn the script anymore! We have too many people learning to script, so stop now!". We are trying to keep SCAR and SRL alive, so we need as many scripters, new or advanced, and as many leachers as we can to do so. Somebody has to make the scripts, and somebody has to use them for SCAR to stay alive. And the only way to get the first half of the puzzle (scripters) is to let them make there newer scripts, make them feel good about making there scripts, and then they will hopefully continue to learn and become an asset to this community.

Fawki/Wizzup?/Boreas/Dankness/Sumilion/Lorax/every other amazing scripter didn't learn to script in a day! It takes time, and much practice and posting of scripts to learn how to improve them!

Wrong section, and no, people can post any scripts they want, as long as it's in its respective section. Any good scripts will have many replies, keeping them up at the top.

But I might add that Fawki is the most pro-leech admin…which says a lot for the viewpoint against leechers (considering that you say he's anti-leech).

I didn't mean leach like 0 post count… I'm a leacher, and you are to bullzeye. (if I'm using the definition right) We both use other peoples scripts. I thought leaching was using other people's scripts. The good kind of leaching is using people's scripts and posting on them; the bad kind of leaching is using people's scripts and not posting on them. But to keep SCAR alive, we can't have all scripters.. We do need leachers to, good leachers or bad leachers, of course preferably good leachers.

No, leechers are people who take from the community and don't give back. JAD, you wrote many good scripts, and I'm assuming bullzeye has too. That already means you're not a leecher. Even if they post a simple progress report on a script classifies them as not really a leecher. A 2 poster asking for scripts is a leecher.

There is no good/bad leecher. There's the leecher and the non-leecher.

Still, most of the non-leachers around this forum don't use scripts at all, or very rarely do.

1 thing, and the only thing that leachers do for us is keep SCAR alive.. Of course we wish they could "use" scripts instead of "leach" scripts, but we can't make them not "leach" the scripts, we (well, the admins) can only ban them for leaching.

So the community does not benefit from "leachers" in any way, I know that.. But they do help in the one place where we need more people, which is keeping SCAR alive! I wish we had less "leachers" and more "testers" too.. Because that would benefit the community and keep SCAR alive instead of just keeping SCAR alive.

Well, there are too many stinky ones here -.- I have seen a lot of copies and a lot of remakes around here. Really what I am trying to convince people to do is to work harder on their scripts and make them amazing and unique.

True enough. The leechers are the ones that notify Jagex that SRL is still alive and kicking. And that they better try harder.

Everybody has to start somewhere, my first script was a powercutter, we encourage people to start scripting. Just because a script is worse then another one doesnt mean it should be put in the 1st scripts section. Probly been said because I didnt finnish reading all of those walls of text. Also, people who post bugs and stuff are just as usefull as people who script(kinda)
