My Tutorial on how to download SCAR and SRL.

Hi, for the very short time I have been in this community I have learnt a lot but have never given anything back. So I decided to make a tutorial on how to download SCAR and SRL. Please rate the thread and plus rep me if it helped you. Thanks!

Here goes…

Firstly, I want you to open your internet browser.


Go to this address (this is where all versions of SCAR can be downloaded).


You will be confronted with this screen.


Click on SCAR as directed in the picture, you will then be redirected to this page.


Then hit this button.


If using FireFox then this image will appear.


Other browsers may vary, but don't worry the end result will be the same!
Click "Save File" to download SCAR.

Once downloaded open the file from where you saved it and this screen will appear.


Follow the setup until the end and the SCAR screen should appear.

Downloading SRL.

Once the SCAR screen is open, I want you to click File > Download SRL, e.g:


At the bottom of the SCAR window you should see,


Wait until this says "SRL download complete."

Now I want you to download the includes. Once again go to File > Download Includes, e.g:


Click and wait until you see:


At the bottom of the SCAR window.
Congratulations!! You have successfully downloaded SCAR and SRL.
But wait right there, you have yet to set up SRL so it will work in your scripts!!

Setting Up SRL.

Click, File > Open (In SCAR) and you will see this screen:


Now click the drop down menu at the top, and click SCAR 3.11.
Click, Includes > SRL
You should see this file:


Double click and a script will appear in your SCAR window. Simply hit the "Play/Run" button on the top of the SCAR screen and this window should appear:


Click "Save Settings"
If you see "Successfully executed" in the SCAR debug box (the box at the bottom of SCAR) then your done!!!

Well done for successfully downloading SCAR and SRL! Also thank you for taking the time to read this tut, it is greatly appreciated.

Btw, another way for finding SetUpSRL.scar: SCAR->Tools-> Explore folder -> Includes Folder -> SRL/SetUpSRL.scar.

i have a problem download scar 3.11, it downloads have when, nd then says its done.

so i try open it, and the file is corrupted, could you host on rapidshare or anything so i can download please?

make sure u open the file when u go to download scar…..if u try to save then open its corrupted for some reason

fixed i just restarted my comp then tried and it failed… restarted, tried, and it worked

ye i need a download link for scar 3.11 ,it just will not work with freedy 1990s download link.Could sum1 show an alternative link..thank you:spot:

The one thing everythings good just say unable to register function function all that stuff

everythings good but it says unable to register function function

When I click on File -> download SRL it comes up with that bar at the bottom for like 1 second, then it switches to installing SRL instead of downloading. I leave it for like an hour, and its still saying installing SRL - no progress bar, nothing. Any help :confused:

hey im a real noob to this umm.. i have scar 3.15 b. i just dont know how to script stuff, i have copied a few scripts off the internet buty none of them seem to work. why is that?

i hit the play button (btw i have 3.15) and i got a error it says …


"Line 102: [Error] (102:1): Unknown identifier 'Filename' in script C:\Program Files\SCAR 3.15\Includes\SRL\SRL\core\Setup.scar
Failed when compiling"

any help would be great cause i dont know if the program will work at all if this dosnt
