was about to start scar to auto, and then all of sudden get a shitload of popups from avg saying my scar 3.07 scar srl 3.6 and 3.7 are corrupted and saying had trojans i took deleted all scars and scripts in my computer wdf is going on?

For the millions time! Scar does not have any virusus! Scar is clean!

Now look, there is one program in scar that sometimes gets detected as a problem, and if you want, you can delete that part, its not really necessary.

Now, perhaps you computer got infected by something else, that then infected scar.. do a complete virus scan over everything.

If not, then it may have a trojan in it.

Another thing, scripts can NOT have viruses, they are just TEXT. I suposse they can be infected, but still, very unlickly.

I'm sick of idiots saying that scar is a virus, it's like you are sent from jagex and are just trying to be harmfull. If so, cut it out, and get some maturity. We respect you guys, we don't spam your forums, leave us alone.

Edit: Dont want to belive me? thats fine! We dont care if you dont trust it, delete it! lol. Hundreds of thousands of people use scar, and hundreds of thousands know it is clean.

Edit: a good virus scan is trend micro pc cillins free online one.. google "house call"

AVG, Does come up with a threat detected on any scar for some reason now.

I am 100% sure that it is a false positive because it never came up until a recent upgrade. SCAR IS COMPLETELY SAFE.

Hmm, just a thought, people are saying Scar is coming with a virus now, and sythe and fagex are down? I don't know if they are still are but maybe its a coincidence?

Oh and I just got AVG to run a scan, It found the same thing as the others, I searched there "virus encyclopedia" and the virus was not even in there. It doesn't even exist its just a false positive.

Ok, well that is weird. I used to use AVG on my computer. It never came up with a threat like that. I also downloaded the same thing. I am scanning all my Scar folders…..Nothing wrong with any of them( 3.06, 2.03, 3.11, 3.10).
I am thinking that it could be these problems:

1) If you downloaded it from somewhere else then, you probably got a trojan….

2) This one is kinda hard to understand but here its is….. When a trojan is loaded on a computer, it usually just acts like spyware and popups. But there are some "new"( not very many of them) trojans that try to confuse your computer. For example it takes the "shape" of another program and comes up with an error from your virus scanner. So it kinda makes your virus protection think your other program is the virus or trojan. But the person would have to be very good at "hacking" so to speak. I think the chances of that happening is 1 out of a 1000 though. Also its probably not this because it says "Generic".

hey i have read and i went on vacation so i couldn't get back to you all. but thank you for telling me this… i did download from freddy. as me as the newb :) i changed the name adding srl 3.7 because i dont know how to add the other srls :( so i have a complete new program that was srl 3.7 3.6 and the divi one XD

Lol…Greg…you are mistaken. It is from Freddy's site…SCAR is detected as a virus by some antiviruses. He's just being cautious…

I use avg but have never had a problem with it saying scar is a trojan. Strange.
