Ok so heres something I saw that is kinda suspicious.
And I checked free scripts and I don't see a tara chicken killer in there, and I don't see why anyone would put it in their sig if they didn't use…

Tarajunky's chicken killer was for the public for quite some time. I used it in my leaching days near 6 months ago.. ;) So it may have been from a LONG time ago… Or it was leaked.

Either way, there really isn't any way to find out who did it.. Is there?

No SRL version has ever been public. Before I converted it to SRL more than a year ago, it was available in the non-SRL script section, but that version only worked with ScarScape.

I've never personally given the script to a non-member, either.

well he hasn't been here that long…look at longetivity bar…and I know there is almost no chance of finding out but this way we are aware of it

Yes, when I was a leecher, I rember having it!!! It was called ChickenSweeper 1.02.

Heres what is in the script for setup half:

{This script will collect raw chickens and bones in the chicken pen north east
of Lumbridge. It will cook the chickens and bury the bones. It will also
collect all the feathers. You can set your character to collect bones,
chickens, or both using the Players.Integer1 field as follows…

0: Pick and cook chicken (Cooking focus)
1: Pick and bury bones (Prayer Focus)
2: Pick and cook/bury bones/chicken (Cooking/Prayer focus)

Uses the normal client, on low detail, and 32 bit colors.

SETUP LINES 26-31, and declare your players in lines 48+.

ChickenSweeper is still public. That doesn't kill any chickens, though.

And nobody has run that script nearly long enough to collect 65k feathers. Just look at the stats…

There are lots of chicken killers out there, but ChickenKiller by Tarajunky is and always has been members only.

Hmmm maybe we should do like lordgreg said, do a check of Ip's. Maybe he has 2 accounts or is sharing a computer with a sybling who is a SRL member and is using scripts

ya, so he has gotten leaked a member script… Not cool, kill him, :)

But if we IP Scan, how will that figure out if he has the script, or he just saved that image off google images? He may have googled "Tara Chicken Killer" then also got images, thought that feather image was cool looking, so he uploaded it on Imageshack or something and claimed it as his own. Just a theory.

I am one of the first posts on his chicken killer. I remeber when it first came out and it was srl members. Before it came out and freddys feather buyer got popular you could sell feathers for 10 to 12 ea instead of 5 to 7 ea.

Its had a major influence on the runescape feather market for sure. But yes its been members the whole time I know.

well, the point is, is that this is really messy business. It is obvious that something bad went on under the table. I don't feel like giving him the benifit of the doubt is such a good idea any more. I know it's going to be really hard to figure out how it happened, but we should still give it a go. He is basically rubbing this leak in our faces with this sig. Check ips to see if he is that same person as some one else, check pms to see if a (stupid) under the table deal was made on srl pms…

Other than that.. I don't know, but we need to be more aware of stuff like this. A big leak could really hurt.

We (could) have a whole memebrs erase, strip the title off everyone here, then they would have to reapply with a working RS script again.. but this would be A LOT of truble, but would cause some leekers to go away..

Besides, most of the SRL members are good scripters and the leaker could have been a great scripter, we don't know. So if it was a great scripter, then they'd just apply again and we'd still have the same leaker, and it would just cause a lot of hassle. So that wouldn't do anything really.. Just get rid of some people that joined before you had to apply, but we could still have the same leaker.

And another problem with that is what if someone like WhiteShadow, who is a great scripter and everything, had to apply? He has been very busy and hasn't had a super amount of time to stay active in the forums like he used to, let alone make a great script to apply with.

So I don't think the admins would ever do that, and I don't think they should. Leakers are going to be leakers.. And there's nothing we can do about it.

Yah, not to mention we have hundreds of members.

wow my first time back in like a year trying to catch up on the news and what do i find leaks of the members scripts. i don't really know how long you guys have been around but script theives have been around longer and will probably never go away. Punishing the community as a whole as in the reapplying for memberships status all over again is not something that will happen. there are thousands of members and reapplying would mean thousands of scripts to go through. how long do you think that would take. yes it is sad that there is a leak. hopefully though we will come out of this with more people coming here to learn as it has in the past. all scripters just about start out as leechers until they decide they want something done that isn't out there and they will start to learn on their own. how many of you were not leechers at one point?

and I'm aware that non-members have member scripts thats why i think we should raise our security but even if we do it won't help :(

I think maybe we should put a minimum time before people can apply for membership. Because there have been some people who weren't here long and got in and I've never seen them since. So maybe if he put a minimum time restriction so that maybe they will grow attached to the community and might have some pride in it and wont leak.

I was only here like one month and had 30 posts when I got my membership.

Well all the current members would stay and it would jsut be implimented for future ones

You are learning the ways of the internet.

It's sad how greedy people are. After spending time to learn SCAR scripting and getting to know the community to get SRL member status and as reward access the SRL member scripts they're just willing to give the reward they worked for to other lazy people who can't be bothered .. For money, not even real money, virtual money. In my opinion it's disgusting that those people can't respect this community and people's hard work at all and their only reason to get SRL member status was to let other people access member scripts without bothering.
