Does a player array filler exist?

Hey, is there a scar scipt / utility that will let you open up a scar script, then fills in your player array with your actual players for you?

For example, you will have a text file stored somewhere that has A list of your players, and their passwords, and their nicknames.

The program will open any scar program, search it for the player array, and then fill it up with your personal one?

HAS THIS BEEN MADE BEFORE?[/H]

I am trying to convince Here to start scar scripting. She doesn't want to open rs, so I am trying to think of other ways that she can still be a member.

So far, if this hasn't been made, she will make it, and then she will also make a simple powerminer to cover the rest of the srl requirements. (I will be supplying here with rs screen shots, nothing else, that way she doesn't have to open the client as she swore she wouldn't)

I am convinced that she has a really good head on top of her, and that it is being utterly WASTED in the free section.

Please, I need to know if this has been made before.

NO no no!! Please DON'T make one!!!

Read! Thats not the point! The point is to NOT have it already made so Here can make it herself! :)

Yes, I could make it to, but I am trying to use this idea to get here learning scar and all.

Please, again, Don't make it.

Oh. Lol, and No, not that I know of… there was one to make the declareplayers procedure, but it didn't fill anything in. And I like what your trying to do, Here seems to have the potential to be a very good scar scripter (she seems very smart, or atleast from her posts) :)

Yeah, she seems to be pretty smart. And making a script like that will really put her to the test for never even opening up rs or making a script. I came up witht he idea for her, and I will end up making it if she gives up, but I think this will be a great opportunity to really put here brain to use. I'm helping her with the psedo code of it, stuff like "your form will need to be able to do x, y, and z.", "you will need a regex expression that does something like this", but I'm not going to write a line of code for her.

Thank you again for not making is, she really want's to make something impressive, and I hope she can pull it off.

Know any tutorials on file reading / writing in scar / pascal I can lead her too?

Well, to ruin the good idea I'll remind you of ReadLn. Its actually great way, no forms, but no clicking between the '' either. Use ReadLn :spongebob:

Yeah I know about readln :) thanks. The point is that we want a form to do this. One that will save the data you enter so you only have to fill in your characters once (thats the point of this scripts).
Besides, forms are harder than readln, so I want to make her crush her mind on them for a bit.
@santa no, we prefer to communicate telepathically.

Perfect, it will be lots of help.

Out of preference? Would you rather have it store your player info in a simple text file? Or rather just stored jhildy style?

LoadUs and SaveUS are both in SRL, it stores/loads the info from Chars.Dat :)
