Two kids at my tennis camp kept on talking runescape to each other. Like he could go 'walk here', and then say 'out of range' and start giggling, and then say 'cast bones to bananas'. And once I missed a slam and he called me a noob (not in a friend/joking kind of way). Anybody else get really annoyed at this?

Noob is a universal term. You must play way too much RS if you think noob only applies to RS.

Next, I get extremely annoyed at hypocrites. Think upon that.

I never said that noob was an RS only term. I merely used it as an example.

Talking RS/MMORPG online is fine because MMORPG talk was made for the internet and online video games and stuff. I think it should stay in those games, and if you say them irl then it just shows how much you carry over from games into rl. I personally don't use the term noob.

LMFAO, thats kinda extreme, but we sometimes say "I haxed you" jokingly or something if youve just opened someones bag and taken all their books out while theyre standing around talking at lunchtime.

Me and my mate used to talk about staking and buying mills stuff during social studies because its easier than online and social studies is gay. He quit and plays WoW and is always talking about it with the other people who play and its fucking annoying.

If someone called me a noob at my tennis practice, they'd lose 6-0, 6-0 next time I played them. That or I'd smash a few balls at them when we play doubles.

Well, the thing is, don't get annoyed at the people who do that. Just reassure yourself that they don't have a life, while at least you have a semblance of one. Or just avoid them. Or kick their asses. Whatever. With a sword, if you want.

Joking about that last one.

I want a sword. . .And if someone says noob in real life, it basically means you BETTER be able to kick their ass. I'm thinking not too many real ripped people say noob. . .

I personally hate anyone that says anything online related in real life (also I hate it when people use IRL) Anyone that says anything with online stuff like lol or noob, or hacks. The only people I like hanging out with are the actual hackers. I mean like full blown computer hackers not some BS on some game that is useless. They are some of the cooler people, and not just because you can learn how to do stuff from them, they actually are cool people.

Yeah, the funny thing is some of the cooler people play WoW and RS. Calling someone a noob and stuff is very hardcore no life, never happened to me because I dont talk to people like that. I was just thinking it would be funny if some nerd was laughing at something and they said lol, or held a piece of paper above thier head that said lol on it.

Since I dont play RuneScape anymore, havent played it for a long time.
I and my friends hate it when people are talking about it (somewhere else than on internet).

One time we were having lunch at our school lunch room, there came some really "RuneScape-Wow-24/7-looking"-guys to our table :confused: . And they started talking about wow and that stuff, it started pissing off us.:mad: My friend said as loud as he could "CAN YOU PLEASE SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT THE WOW". :eek: Muhhaha then they didnt say a word and they were just quiet there as long as we leaved.

RuneScape guys: Will be bullied.

Yes, I agree with pentti, if you dont play rs or are yourself in the conversation it is really annoying. And when people talk about GW or WoW in school, it just fucks my ears :D But really, its like, THEYRE TURNING INTO FUCKING ELVES?!
And if people talk about rs, about how boring something is to do, like alching, it doesnt annoy me because I can just go and say "wanna buy auto alcher with antiban and antirandoms for 5€?" :D Never done that but good idea :)

the difference is because most of us do not talk about rs in a game way we talk in a scripting way.

I agree we say fally and mages etc and gp but its only thinking about our script not about a stupid game :D


and its stupid to talk about RS IRL because you are IRL not in a game… so you have better things to do then to talk about a game :(

I don't mind conversations about mmorpg's, but when people just go around 'omg noob!', 'lol', 'rofl', etc, I find it quite annoying.

Yea, it's annoying when people talk about some computer games all the time at school, but a good thing is, that you never really see them anywhere else than at school, because they most likely just go home right after school stops to play WoW or RS or something.

i find it easier to just not even let on that you have ever played the game, but if someone asks me a simple question about it while I'm at school i don't mind. But yea, pretending they are in rs is just dumb.

Its even worse when they start making sound effects and acting out what happened with their hands…
