I'm not sure. I think that of those 130 registering people each day, MAYBE, if we're lucky, one of them will ever make a script. I hope I'm wrong though…

I would say every 1000th user makes script that actually does something useful.

So you're saying we only have 22 members that have made a script that did something useful?? :p

He's talking about the new ones. The rest are a different story, since this community is already developed and scripts are right there for them to leach.

From that picture that Hobbit posted, I haven't seen posts from most of the non-members.

Why does everybody care about leachers..? No offense to anybody who does, but it really doesn't effect you in any way. If a script is being leached a LOT, like a script like LAME or Wizzup?'s VEM, then we move it to the members section. Or Pentti's MCMB, he made a post count > 10 requirement to use his script.

There are many ways to stop leachers from getting good scripts besides not letting them come here at all ;)

We are trying to keep SCAR alive, and the only way to do that is to have the people who run scripts, not just the people who script! We can't have everybody doing the same job.. If we had all scripters, which most scripters barely script, there would be nobody using them so there would be no point. If we had all leachers, then there would be no scripts to use so we couldn't auto. We need balance! And that's what the leachers do for us.

1 keeps SCAR alive, the other keeps using SCAR to auto on runescape alive.

Heh, since I'm in Aus right now. I can only get on every 5 days or so. And I take a look at the "New Posts". Each time I check it's in the thousands, I take a pic and save it so I can then collect them and make a big sig :). Just took a pic 5 min ago, it was 2430 posts :p.

Meh, I'm fine with SRL growing as long as I don't get forgotten in the giant pool of new members. That sounded strange…Ah well, that's what layin by the beach all day with smokin' hot ladies walking past you does to your head :D.

Ah well, back to the beach. (In Broome atm)

Sorry but I don't understand…why do we need Leachivity. Most of the top 10 SRL Stat Users are well-respected members of this community. They can auto and script. However, leachers using scripts is just like RSDemon in a way.

That's just a few, most members don't auto.

Ive been kinda off and on with the whole stop registrations thing…

It seems like a good idea, but then what if one of the best future scripters ever can't register? Yea we get leechers, but we also get amazing scripters coming in, but a lot slower.

I used to be a leecher and now look at me now. If I didn't start out leeching then I never would have came here. There are many people here that started out as leechers. Theres been many previous threads about this. And who knows a leecher now might be the next Tara or Wizzup ( and all you other scripters out there that weren't mentioned, no offence)

Then maybe we can have a CleanUp. All non-members that haven't been active in the last few months have their accounts deleted.

Thats also been suggested before….And it didn't get a very nice responce..

I think its good we have so many people though. Shows we are doing our job in keeping SCAR alive.

Sorry, but can we please stop comparing things to RSDemon and/or other Java based bots?

I'm not comparing. I'm saying that if we keep it like this, we are practically raping Runescape…therefore like RSDemon.

The phrase "just like" is generally precived as a compairison ;)

And we aren't raping runescape because I bet you a lot of those people don't even know how to properly set up the script, they get frusterated and quit. And there are also a lot of people who have a shared computer so they can't run scripts for long periods of time.

If jagex ever does stop rsdemon completely then most people will probably think that they've fixed macro problem. Except for the few idiots who auto with scar on lvl 3's with default clothes.
