Hmm deleting uids get us flagged?

cutting piece out … of the above part

if(32 > i1 || ~i1 < -35)
i1 = 32;
as = (new String[] {
"c:/rscache/", "/rscache/", "c:/windows/", "c:/winnt/", "c:/", a, "/tmp/", ""
});
as1 = (new String[] {
".jagex_cache_" + i1, ".file_store_" + i1
});
flag1 = false;
if folders and files exit then flag1 = false, i assume that thats flagging :)

also found this

http://crl.thawte.com/ThawtePremiumServerCA.crl
hmm i cant access it not whit Firefox nor IE, its the base where jagex runs on?

The file maniges.mf is properly for checking if you didn't download a corrupt file ;)
but arent zigber.sf and maniges.mf the same :O

going to check if English jar file is the same.

interesting find.. but how could we be flagged for deleting uid.. what if it is our first visit? and what if we just don't want their files on or machine.. i definitely didn't give permission to put files on my hdd

The Un-Named

If I recall, there was a big discussion some place and "flag1" or generally anything with "flag" wasn't the boolean to flag your account. I'm not sure though, either way, their anti-macro detection system still sucks, flagged or not.

Well unsigned doesn't create UID so play with it. :)

2007-07-06 09:05:44

^^Agreed.

I also agree with Jagex_Fagex. If you are playing unsigned then you don't get a UID so what if you had never played signed and never got one.

i know unsigned thing y ;)
but i auto on 2 accounts there my scar mains so no need for unsigned, always blame you're brother for macroing and you're banned trough ip-ban unbans you're other accounts lol

i readed on fagex there where commands in there i was like wtf and checked, gave me false hope ;)
but maybe some people have something whit this, and for bot creating u normally need loader.class which is in there :)

Hmm, yes, interesting.

And yes, true - We know it they do download stuff to our comp, but when did they tell us that? Yes , thats right they didnt.
Someone wanna sue em ? :)
Isnt that breaking some lawz to force dl stuff?

I think they did say they put stuff on the HDD, its on the agreement when you create an account ;)

Thick As Blood

That's deffinetaly not the 'flag' you're thinking of.

i have no idea what it is exactly, so i agree whit you :P
but you can 100% proof what flag it is instead?

No, it isn't. Every decent online game usually has to download stuff. Check your /Documents and Settings/Name/Application Data/ folder.

The Un-Named I have no such a folder.

I have asked this a million times from different people, but none has answered, so could you tell me where do you people get avatars like that?

bullzeye95

2007-07-06 15:02:30

@Everybody that said they can't put files on your computer: You agreed to something the first time you played on the signed applet that they could.

And n3ss3s, it's a hidden folder. In order to see it, go to your C disk (or the one you use), Tools > Folder Options > View tab > Under "Hidden files and folders" select the bubble that says "Show hidden files and folders". :)

Just Kidding

2007-07-06 15:37:46

We are not always flagged. It takes way too much system resources for jagex to do that to millions of accounts. They only do it on suspected macros or people who have been reported.

:O
the X - Files :D

Bobarkinator

2007-07-06 15:55:21

I don't think it's in Jagex's TOS but it's in Java's that when you play a game using a signed java applet they can put things on your computer. I think, if I remember right.

But lets say, If I will do system recovery to totally remove every single trace , even do all I can to change teh infoz like IP and so on, then go play rs "first time" use unsigned, and if crap gets DLed could I then sue jagex or blackmail em?

lolpie

2007-07-06 16:36:15

For what? It says in the TOS that playing RS puts certain files on your computer, so making an account means you accept that

You can't do shit to them. Let me take a quote from their TOS:

Your account
To play the Game or use many features of this site, we require you to create an account. All valid account holders are hereby licensed to play the Game and to download and use our client software and connect to our servers for the sole purpose of playing the Game subject to compliance with these terms and conditions.

A boolean variable that lacks a better name is called a flag. That bit of code has nothing to do with whether or not your account is flagged ;)
