Well, it's just a suggestion, so the admins can completely dis-regard my idea if they don't think we could handle the power.. Or for whatever reason, but I just thought of this.

I'm a fairly active person of this forum, (if I do say so myself) and most of the other Seniors are to. And since you admins probably don't want to have like 100 moderators.. You could probably use just a little bit of help moderating the forum though.

So, I was thinking, what if you gave us SSRL members a little moderating power? I've heard Devs can make people SRL members and a few other things like that.. (not sure if that's true).

But what if you just made us be able to moderate the app section? Or be able to just close topics if somebody is getting flamed to bad, or we could be able to just move threads to a different forum for when people post in the wrong section…etc.

Just a little moderating power I think would be pretty cool, and would be helpful.. Because I know the admins/mods can't do all these things themselves, and may make them a little less busy.

Anyways, just an idea. And if the admins don't like this idea.. Then I'm not trying to force anything on to them, just discussing my idea.

P.S. If the SRL members are curious why certain people have a little moderating power, but they don't have the moderator title/cup, (if the admins even decide to do anything with this idea..) We could just say they let a handful of people have a little moderating power to help the admins/mods or something. So we wouldn't need to give away our group.. ;)

No, I totally disagree.. I say keep the current Moderaters. They can handle everything pretty well. The apps are being controlled by mostly Boreas and YoHoJo and I think they're doing well.

And no, we Dev's can't memberize people (or… can we? :p).

Devs do not have powers to change any status'. All the can do is recommend an automatic dev place, or automatically decline a dev / member spot. An admin then has to sort out the actual for permissions.

Currently, I think we have enough Mods. This is one of the cleanest forums i have ever been on, and it basically runs itself (apart from SRL member app acceptance)

I agree with Nielsie.

If we needed more mods, the admins would go to people personally and decide who to 'recruit'.

I just thought it would take more pressure off people like Boreas and YoHoJo if they had a little more help.. Because most moderators/admins are inactive, or really busy and don't have much time to moderate.

And I do agree.. This is a very clean forum.

Yes, that is 100% true. :) There's a fine line from immaturity and moderation, inflicting such power on us will mean less will be chosen, and if they are chosen they will require maturity as well as a good coding ability.

Well seeing as your a moderator, you may have that benefit over us.;) Let another non-moderator Dev answer! If we do have that power, I have never been able to explore it.

Yes, sorry for the misunderstanding. I was thinking all the other developers had higher permissions because Chuck Norris does not need admin approval to get these permissions so they didn't bother setting them.

Terrible idea. I don't see a lot happening on these forums that really needs moderated, people are fairly mature on these forums and as Starblaster said, it almost runs itself.

And besides, devs would get powers before SSRL members would.

It has been talked about many times, and the idea was either turned down or just ignored :p

so bebe would be jealous if we got mod powers and she didnt.. cause almost on every cheating site she was able to trick the admins into giving her power.

Even if you weren't trying to flame me.. It doesn't matter.

Would you tell your teacher her dress made her look fat? Or, since all it's going to do is hurt her feelings, would you tell her in a nice, polite way? I would think not.. Some things are better left unsaid, and they don't make any other effect but make people feel stupid.

And I've been told you still hate me after completely being lied to by you saying you didn't hate me anymore..

Whatever, it doesn't matter. No more talking to me and I wouln't talk to you. Unless you decide that you would actually like to be friends with me, and not say mean things that don't help me improve on anything… I'm 100% up for that.

I thought we did forget about it and I thought we did grow up until he started talking behind my back and called me stupid. So please don't be telling me to grow up when I've been trying to settle this thing the whole time! He just wouln't stop going off about me… I'm done.

I had already made a closing statement to Smartz.. There was really no reason for you to tell us to grow up when me and him ended it.

And my objective in this community was never and never will be to make anybody mad… I didn't even do anything to make him mad ever, but for some reason he's mad at me. I'm done talking to Dark_Sniper until he stops being rude to me and stops talking behind my back.

Who cares if someone doesn't like you? I'm sure there were/are plenty of people who don't like me, but I'm not going to stretch myself out there to make new friends. They can think what they want, it's an internet forum, what affect will it ever have on you? I'd say don't worry about it, and just leave the situation be..
