Hello,

In the DTM editor there are some things that i don't get. It might sound stupid, but I just want to know why you should use them and what is so special about it ^^.

Areasize - the size of the location

1 would be the average size of a pixel…
2 would be two pixels…
3 would be three pixels…
ect….

AreaShape - is the shape in the AreaSize….

:: << Rectangle
+ << Cross
X << diagonal Cross

So for example you have got a pic like

You can use area size of 4 and then it will make a point of 4 pixels, in my case of the middle? That could become handy for making it different from all other objects :X. Or am i wrong? ^^

Thanks :)

it could be helpful, on things like.. mini map roads…

if you want it to click more in the center of the road…

Area shape is the shape of the area to look in.
Explanation:
if you have area size 3, there are three ways to look for the pixel in that area size:
rectangle:

###
###
###
cross:

#
###
#
Diagonal cross:

# #
#
# #
If you set the areasize higher, the point WON'T be greater. Instead of that it will look around the point for the color:

...........................
......X....................
....#......................
...........................
...........................
...........................
Imagine X is the location of the pixel in your dtm. However, that pixel isn't at that location, but at location #. Without an area size it wouldn't find the DTM, but if you set the areasize to three (rectangle), it will look around point X and it would find point #.

Wow thank you! This helps a LOT. +Rep, o wait there is no rep function ;) Or is there :o

Yes there is. It is the blue button under peoples activity and longevity bars.
