I'm not sure if this has been said, so I wanted to bring this topic up. I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but holy loading… please wait screens! I was walking from Varrock West bank to Edgeville and I got 5 loading… please wait screens. I asked Inholtz to do a little walking to see if it was just me. He walked from Fally east to Varrock east and got 8 Loading… Please Wait screens.
Jagex really is screwing themselves with this defense.
If anyone else has had the same experience walking through RuneScape, please let me know.

it is because we play unsigned. We dont build up any cache, I think that is the reason for the excessive LPW (Loading Please Wait…) screens.
I can't even play unsigned :p
It never loads…..

It's extremely annoying.
Seems that Jagex want color changes alot; Mapwalking's going to be a slow process now.

so why cant we use signed clients to auto? IF there was some way to cache beforehand…that would involve no color changing…

Somthing to do with them linking players through uid's or somthing.
Anyways, the LPW screens haven't changed, in signed, you get them but for like 200 miliseconds.
Can't you just play signed and delete your cashe?

you dont even have to do that, just delete your uid.dat

So once I delete my uid.dat they cannot tell that I have more than one player because I also have a dynamic IP which I reset before I login to another of my accounts?
If so, thats great. But how do I delete my uid? :p

thats correct and to delete it (assuming you have windows) go to windows/.file_store_32/uid.dat and delete it ;)
Mopar, I don't have a uid.dat.
I went to "windows/.file_store_32/runescape" and I found a load of .dat files and .IDX4 files. All of them are named "main_file_cashe"
None of these files are called "uid.dat".
What the hells up with that?
EDIT:
Ooh, found it mopar, thanks. :D
Can I also delete the runescape file which has all that shit on it, I have an urge to do that..

np
and yes you can delete that, but then rs will just have to download them again next time you load the client, so there is really no use to ;)

hmmm… so is this the way you make clients? you un-compile the .dat file(s) then you make any more changes to it?
i discovered your little non-secret:rolleyes:.

Im working on a batch file that can replace the UID's corresponding to a username. This will enable you to auto using the signed client. NO risk ;).
Hope it'll be done soon ;).
