Need new function Ideas.

Too lazy to make/finish a function that you think can help SRL and script Developers?
Share your idea's for new functions here!

It's summer, and im bored when im not outside. So does anyone have any suggestions for functions/procedures to make a task easier? As in functions i mean all those functions people post in Srl New Functions. Also, if someone wants to write the function someone else posts the idea too, just post so I, and other people know.

Be Creative!

instead of clicking on Colors at certain angles like on RRW, follows a path of colors that are similar, when you are moving it sets up, when you are close to the flag its clicks, the walking is on the main screen, the Flag looking ison the Minimap. Im not sure if this is possible, but it'd be cool for non-KYAB long distance walking

Moving the mouse to something while rotating the screen :D

i will understand if you think these suggestions are completely useless

right now i'm more interested in points than colors:D

yea, i dont know how many of you know what KYAB does(which most probably do), but i would like to make a non-KYAB version of KYAB. if you look, at the minimap, you can see the different tiles on the screen

so if you divided the minimap into a grid like so:(except more confined and all the same size) and had it click somewhere in in one of the grid squares, then it would be like KYAB, in being very accurate and using the tiles, but completely different. It would need a form like the Path one that some of the members are making, or the RWAid. click points on the screen where you want it to move(in the form) then the function will get the point's coords and put it in one of the tiles, then in a box, putting like: TileGridWalk(34,23) and the 34 would how many tiles in, and the 23 would be how many tiles down

—————————————————————————

i dont know if this is possible, but if you could find a point on the minimap, and transfer that to the same place on the main screen it would be really good. Then you could Find a yellow dot, for fighting, or talking to NPC's then Move your mouse to the coorsponding spot on the mainscreen, then you could MAke fighting easier, and talking to Npc's easier too.
—————————————————————————-
pick up items-if you are ranging, and you only want to pick up you arrows, but there are many arrows on the ground, in different spots, then you could Find all the red dots, record the spots that the npc moved while you were fighting it, then if there are red dots on the spots that npc was then you could click on the red dots, then click on the red dot then click in the middle of the screen when the flag goes away, because you will be on top of the item.

Dan the whole reason people hate KYAB is that
-It isn't written in SCAR (I think)
-It takes all the fun out of scripting.

So that's exactly what yours would be doing it's just written SCAR

the first ya, but the second 2, it only simplify it by like 2 lines, not much fun to be had.

I don't see how a SCAR based tile system could offer any help if it can't know exactly where you are (like KYAB…which is impossible with SCAR)?

They're the same as mouse coords?

Instead of assigning every spot a tile, I think he means you would assign every minimap spot to a tile so they would always be the same on the minimap.

Dan Cardin

yea, as long as you started on the exact right spot, it should be perfectly accurate. And now that i think about it, it doesn't really take away from scripting, It would be like RWAid(just not using colors). You would have to set it up for every time you wanted to move, unlike KYAB where you set it all at once.

pfft. I'm still confused…

…why not just use mouse coords?

Dan Cardin

2007-06-25 10:42:41

because it will always click in the same spot, this will click anywhere in a box, like an auto TBox maker, for the minimap, kind of.One of the tiles on the grid, is the same as one of the tiles that a character stands on. But i like the other two ideas better if they are possible.

What about the angle of the map?
If thats a tad off, all the boxes will be different.

Dan Cardin

2007-06-26 12:44:36

yea i thought of that, and if you use lodgreggreg's perfect alignment function then it should work(i think there's another perfect aligner too)

I figured out how to click the boxes, if you don't mind. Be aware that ALL boxes must be the same. You must also know the distance between the start point and endpoint in X and Y. (Like if the start of a box was 0, 0 and the end point 100, 100 you would need to know that the space in X was 100 and Y was 100 also).

Note:
But heres how I figured you could do it:

program New;
{.Include SRL/SRL.scar}
{Note: Coords start at 0,0}

Var MMCoordsBox: Array [0..3] of Integer;

Function ReturnMMCoords(Xpos, YPos: Integer): Boolean;
Var a, b, s, v, OriginX, OriginY, orgX2, orgY2:Integer;
begin;
OriginX:= 0{First Square X};
OriginY:= 0{First Square Y};
OrgX2:= 0{End of box X};
OrgY2:= 0{End of box Y};
For S:= 0 to Xpos Do
begin;
OriginX:= OriginX + 0{Space between Firstbox X and next box X};
end;
For V:= 0 to Ypos Do
begin;
OriginY:= OriginY + 0{Space between FirstBox Y and next box Y};
end;
For A:= 0 to Xpos Do
begin;
OrgX2:= OrgX2 + 0{Space between FirstBox end X and nextbox end X};
end;
For B:= 0 to Ypos Do
begin;
OrgY2:= OrgY2 + 0{Space between FirstBox end Y and nextbox end Y};
end;
MMCoordsBox[0]:= OriginX;
MMCoordsBox[1]:= OriginY;
MMCoordsBox[2]:= OrgX2;
MMCoordsBox[3]:= OrgY2;
Return:=True;
end;

Procedure ClickMMSquare;
begin;
MMouse(MMCoordsBox[0], MMCoordsBox[1], 3, 3);
MouseBox(MMCoordsBox[0], MMCoordsBox[1], MMCoordsBox[2], MMCoordsBox[3], 1);
end;

Function ClickMinimapSquare(Xposition, Yposition:Integer; DoFlag: Boolean): Boolean;
begin;
ReturnMMCoords(Xposition, Yposition);
Wait(100);
ClickMMSquare;
If DoFlag Then
Flag;
If Flag Then
Result:=True;
end;

begin
end.

i know that all the boxes must be the same(thatwas a rough drawing) but i was thinking TBoxes of something like that, and make a form like the one for DTMS except you'd only make one point and the point would would be in one of the boxes and then it would just click anywhere inside of the box

ok so my idea (don't flame me :redface: ) is to make a simple text function there's two parts to it :

one that detects in the mainscreen : 'Update in : 23' , 'Update in : 22' etc and when it detects it, it would log out and switch worlds after 1 minutes or so and the it would switch back to the same world.

the second part is when it logs in and its says 'Runescape has been updated!' it would log out and switch to a different world first (after 1 minute) and then switch back to the same world.

well just an idea don't think it's out yet well if it is sorry didn't know and if you don't want to make it I will :D

That would be usefull but what if they moved a pixle like in the bankscreen thing, or updated varrock and you were using an ess miner. If it messed the script youd be screwed but for those stupid minor updates Im all for it.

what you could do is changed LoginPlayer so that instead of writing runescape is updated terminating script, make it click a members would in the quick world switch, load it, then click a free one.

Here's something I'm too busy to do:

An Update Checker.

There are many coords and colors constants in SRL that if changed would mess up SRL. So write something that checks them.

For example, LoggedIn says that there is a certain color at a certain spot. Write something that verifies you are logged in by another method (human verification through readln is prolly good) and checks if the color is where it is supposed to be.

Other things are tabs, bank/trade/shop/pin screens, skills, spells, etc etc.

Thanks in advance if you do it :p

!?!?!?!?

Just tell me mine is bad, you can be honest =[

From: Boreas
The last couple updates screwed up loggedin and banking. Stuff like that is why SRL doesn't have this.

Or did you change your mind?

No no. This is not for autoing. This is for letting devs know what needs to be changed in SRL. LoggedIn checks for a certain color in a certain place. This would check if that color is still in that place (once you tell it its logged in of course).
