SRL Archive - Banned from RS

Greetings

I haven't been banned, not to make you worry. However I was browsing through PowerBot today and found an alarming amount of ban reports, even insta permabans just by logging in on RS3 with Membership bought. Brandon has made it clear how easy detecting a client can be, but nevertheless it's quite disturbing.

I should let you know that I started my account about, I don't know, one-two months ago. After creation and some minor preparations I used PowerBot for one hour at cows and one hour or so at chickens, before I caught up to ban reports and found this wonderful community. Then I'd taken a month break to see whether there was a delay ban hanging upon, but as I came back from the month and have been botting pretty heavily (although with a lot of variety, many many different scripts with many self-made tweaks and customizations, and very rarely longer than 3-4 hours at a time) I had no problems whatsoever.

Current information on Villavu is that RS3 banning is very lenient lately, at least when it comes to Simba and SMART. This topic I made because I felt like I should. More feedback from other botters can never hurt, especially when it comes to fighting off overconfidence. (And that happened to me too, today I caught myself wanting to let Lama's Penguin Clicker to run overnight to speed things up)

Amount of bans reported on PowerBan is so high I'd thought to draw some conclusions and be better safe than sorry :D

This is nothing new – and not surprising, given powerbot's recent history.

I bet Aadil and Joe still haven't finished RSBot 7, those slackers.

I had known it's bad, but…THAT bad? I thought Jagex is tightening up again on rs3 and we haven't noticed because we're too pro for the time being.

ps. Is there a way to disable post count rising from writing posts in this section? I feel like a cheap cretin just raising my post count.

Don't worry, if you leave this forum long enough, you will come back with a fresh account with 0 Post/Mentioned/Quoted.

Just not down with taking my chances on PowerBot, no matter their marketing claims.

I like having only 1 career ban to date, when I didn't include any click randomization at all.

@Ashaman88 I think that's your cue.

Jagex has the rsbot client by the nuts. They KNOW when people use that client, and it's usualy a ban within he first hour. Haven't used it personally since the nuke.

Yet another reason why you shouldn't even touch PowerBan.

Not only will you get banned from RS for using Powerbot almost inconceivably quickly, they will ban you from Powerbot for talking about how ban-able their client is.

Keep in mind if you simply post that you've been banned, and the circumstances regarding it, you're fine. But the instant you start talking about the overall ban rate, or the likelihood of getting banned, Powerbot will silence you permanently and they will call it "libel".

Further proof that they are only interested in money, and care more about their marketing image than they do about their clients accounts and well-being. I've even tried twice now to appeal my ban directly to Chris at the request of a friend who wanted my help running his gold site, (I couldn't care less if I ever see the inside of that community again, but my friend wanted my help so I swallowed my pride) and he flat out refused based simply on the fact that I talked about bans. If that doesn't tell you where their priorities lie, I don't know what will.

And I didn't mean to start any debate on PowerBan, and definitely not to debate whether it's worth it :D
I meant that I had created a tinfoil hat when I browsed them yesterday, and thought we should increase our carefulness just in case.
But then there's Clarity and Mayor and Ashaman and countless others…

There's a reason that Powerbot has been nicknamed Powerban, they use injection (unless that's changed) and Jagex instantly detects and bans accounts that log in using an injection bot, lol.

Simba is fine to bot with colour/OGL/reflection, just bot sensibly and you'll be fine.

You sound bitter, you should PM @Justin to see if it can be fixed.

I've heard numerous amounts of times that PB's client is easily detected and that's all that it takes to be taken down. SMART is okay, if you're getting banned it's because of your scripts. I recently booted one up and it's still doing fine. I don't have a proggy of my WF enforcer, but it was around 13h of time running and over 1.8k kills. We are safe here. :)

I used to 4-6h. But tried extending times as management of many account tooked toolong.

My farm condition currently is 3 weeks since last small ban wave which got caught 4/60 accounts, and to mention they all probably were stuck. Atm running 60 accounts various tasks up to 23h a day and no single ban at rs3 yet :D This year so far in rs3 were unreal only few small ban waves during this time. Maybe even will try botting green drags again :)

It isn't just powerbot either. Literally ever other bot I tried recently (other than Simba) the account has been banned within 24 hours. This applies to both, RS3 and OSRS.

Or maybe I'm just jealous with those crazies @up. I don't have any antibans, I just click simple tasks with wait(gaussRangeInt), I really wouldn't want to risk it with more than 6h without switching the activity.

I used to use RiD, which i could bot on my main 24/7 without getting a ban. It uses color and AI from what I know. Only issue was that it isn't free, and has been down for a year or 2 while the developer is working to revamp it.

Theoretically as long as you have any program that can scrape the color off of your screen, you could devise a filter to get it to click what you want (could also build up OCR and stuff from this as simba probably has).

I think the word you were looking for was 'optimized' for RS, in which case I don't know any other active color bots that are (only know a little about the mainstream ones which are generally not color)
