/var is a part of the *nix filesystem … but why OP would have created a directory in there or placed nameless text files in said directory is beyond me.

on topic I ride a train every weekday now. It usually stays firmly on de rail. When I can't find a place to sit since it is so crowded in the morning I usually have to firmly grasp one of the poles on the train so I don't fall over.
