Not sure about the associate.sex situation but it should have nothing to do with the inability to spawn SMART clients. Associate.sex is responsible for associating Simba files with the Simba application in your OS.
What includes are you using? Are they up to date?

OGL, checking now to see if it's updated. I was in the middle of testing my script - and then suddenly it stopped spawning for all of my scripts. Rebooted machine. No effect.

Edit: Updated Oglib - same error.

Works for me with latest ogLib. Are you able to play the official RS client? Is your Java path correct in smart.simba?

Tried with a blank script. Same error gonna look into Java and possibly reinstall Simba/SMART

So I disabled associate.sex like I saw on another thread. That corrected the compile error but not the original error ** SMART Cannot Spawn Client **

I've reinstalled Simba and Java x86 (same paths). Rebooted machine multiple times. Thinking back, the only thing I may have changed was a security prompt for Java (i'm looking to see if I can restore the defaults on that right now). Any other ideas?

I have a SMART.Simba in SRL-6\misc and Oglib\misc is that okay?

Delete your jagex caches?

Wiped, same results. Is having Java in your environment variables required? I noticed it isn't showing up under mine…

Edit… Knocking on wood. I didn't change the location of my scripts to the new simba directory. I changed that and it is now launching SMART no problems. Sounds like something was conflicting with the way that it was calling onto my scripts from the "Scripts" folder. Could it be due to me having sub-folders within the "Scripts" folder?

Edit 2: Right-click open recent from Simba taskbar pin causes this error.

I got the same error.
When i start scripts from the directory it runs perfect.
When i try to run scripts from simba pinned on my taskbar. I get the error.
