I believe the Bonsai fighter works from the normal RS3 script section for this; however, a looting function would need to be made.

Out of curiosity, what's the point of having a script request forum if the responses are "don't leech, do it yourself" with a link to the tutorial forum?

I'm still not getting it. What's the point of having a section directly geared towards requesting someone else make a script if the response is going to be "we don't like people who leech; please learn to do it yourself"? If nobody is going to do anything but say "hey, you could learn to do it," why have this section at all? Why not just make it redirect to the tutorial section, or to that topic?

hah, catch-22: before requesting a script, you must learn how to script. if you know how to script, there's no need to request :p

so really it's just another place to get help, which I support 100%

Well you can contribute without scripting.. posting progress reports, being active, making meaningful non-scripting guides, and other things

Just look at @grats! He got auto-membered without posting a single script.

He also has 3.6k posts and has been a member of the forum since 2007. Seems a rather high bar for the ability to use a section open to SRL Jr. Members.

He's also done this:

Exactly this. Plus, if a valued member happens to stumble into this section and request a script … due to their previous contribution in the past, other members might be willing to do their work for them.

Think about it: if The Mayor requested a script in this section, I think it would be completed rather quickly. This reflects on what matters regarding rewards and advancements at SRL: personal merit.

E: People also post "taking requests" threads in here from time to time.

Looking through the threads that are actually from 2015, I see nobody above Jr. Members posting topics here, and any post actually asking for a script (as opposed to asking a question, which seems a really odd place to do it) has either been ignored, the merit of the script itself debated, linked to a relevant script already created, or linked to a tutorial thread. I only saw one script request that was actually fulfilled, and it was someone responding with a mostly-complete script they had built for themselves before.

The last "taking requests" post was almost a year ago.

Frankly, what do you think are the chances that The Mayor or some other high ranking person posts a script request here? Beyond the fact I wouldn't be surprised if there was an SRL Member's script request forum, any script that someone that experienced is going to request - rather than just do themselves, since it'll probably be relatively trivial - is going to be so complex that it really isn't even worth posting, since I doubt anybody is going to do it. If the community really doesn't want any leechers at all (which I personally respectfully disagree with), then I can't see the point of having a place that's really only going to be frequented by people who don't currently have the ability to learn to do it themselves, and probably don't have the drive to learn to do it themselves either, given their post here.

Because if someone who has done something of value in the community, participated or helped out wanted a script and posted it here, most people would do it.

If @Jake asked for a script I'd be willing to do it. If a normal member who had not contributed anything script wise, but was helpful on threads and posted progress reports, etc. I'd be willing to do it. When members get bored they will often post a "Taking Requests" post as well.

It all boils down to if you contribute you get something back. This isn't a forum for people to just sit and request scripts for nothing. I expect you to be a good part of this community and helping us grow or doing something of value before I will take time out of my day to write a script I won't really use.

Maybe the problem is not the script request section, but that only people who don't want to contribute post here?

Also, the OP is really annoying.

This forum is underused, and unfortunately the script requests that do get made are often not good requests (Not detailed enough, not useful, etc). However, this is not one of them. There's nothing wrong with this specific request so it would would be good if people could get back on topic.

Yeah, that's pretty much the mindset over here.

Hell, I dunno why we have this section. I just threw some reasons out there that seemed logical.

We are not a "botting" forum like pb, instead this is a community where people LEARN to script. Leechers dont contribute anything to the community hence we don't like them

I was membered years before any of that happened :P

I was membered for constantly testing scripts, I believe.. and not sure if it was due to anything else

at the time I had carebear / tester / useful poster cups

I literally tested every single thing that was ever made anywhere on the site for like a year straight and just got membered, but honestly I was just doing it for fun as well as to learn.

Still a very high bar to be "able" to use a section open to all junior members.

I wasn't going to write anything to save some conflict but I think healthy discussion is good. My personal standpoint being, you should contribute and learn to script. It is the best thing to do and if you don't have the time/desire to script then yes, you can help by testing and being active. Having said this, I also agree with adc in that this IS actually a script request section. The argument regarding people that contribute will have their script made is not really relevant, because someone who is experienced even slightly will make their own or at least try and then just ask for help/advice in other sections of the forum. I know mostly everyone on this forum are great people and really hold this community together. That isn't an issue at all. This section might be better off being called "Share your script ideas" or something like that. There are times when some of the scriptwriters are willing to take requests, maybe this section could be changed to target that more.
I don't think it's fare to leech and I also don't think it's fare to just give a tutorial link to someone putting forward their idea; especially for a good script that one of the more 'senior' members could work on or even in conjunction with the requester. Hey even another idea. If someone with experience likes the idea of the script request they could delegate a section of the script to be made by the person requesting so that way they work on it together, passing on their knowledge and the person requesting would feel they were apart of it but also didn't get fobbed off or dismissed.
Anyway, my 2c and I think it's good that we discuss things in the community as it's how we see progression, change and understanding.
