the game (gg):

• you are a blob
• you eat other blobs that are smaller than you
• watch out for viruses (green spiky things)

controls:

• space bar splits you in half, good for jumping a short distance to snap up other blobs quickly / cornering people. makes you extremely vulnerable while waiting to be able to merge back
• w shoots out food (yourself, for anybody to eat), you can use this to feed viruses

This is actually quite entertaining.
The other names makes it much more interesting. Very nice find, man.

node.js has done awesome things for real time web games.. super awesome.

this and that one algorithm multiplying game (asked friend for the name will edit with link) are very neat "light" games that pretty much wouldn't have existed before it.. except for in horrible flash

although agario doesn't use node.. node did bring all the i/o io.js etc to existence and webgames as a whole being able to run fully html5/javascript these days is nice

oh I forgot one of the most important game rules, if you make it to the top 10 of a server before ragequitting, you've gotta spend the next few hours trying to get #1 & a few more failing to maintain your spot.

yea being little it's all about running around grabbing dots
right when you hit medium size it turns into pvp lol

I was doing other stuff at the sametime so I came up a ninja strategy today (helps if you're playing semi-afk early-game). Hide under a large virus and let people come to you.
Small people go through it running away from medium sized players and get gobbled up not knowing what hit them. once you're too big to hide under any of the viruses then that's when you can start playing for real (I usually play pretty aggressively after that, until im so big that viruses splitting me up are the main worry). Also, if a big guy hits the virus you're under then you can quite quickly get rocketed to late-game.

Anybody else wanna share some wonderful strategies :stirthepot:

Gotta get into a teamspeak/mumble with 3+ people and team up. Then you can easily get into the top 10 and stay there for ages :ninja:

almost got to the top 10, was getting really big , but there are some guys that are like, the whole screen :P great game

The startup is always the most annoying for me, since I always miss getting the orbs. I'm really bad at this. :(

how the hell did you get on the same server as people?

I was watching my sockets connected and flooded the script to reconnect and after like 300 tries still didn't match myself and gave up

There is a plugin for chrome which allows you to directly connect to servers if you know the IP

Yes, but each server ip/socket has a bunch of instances of the game.. I counted 20+ different instances on 1 of their us-fremont for uswest

Great script, though when you have two+ cells it's got no clue especially with the green hidy things(it calculates only one).

Went on it thinking, what is this crap. Ended up repeatdly playing for an hour.

Its a curse! :P
