Using SMART for other clients?

Hello,

I have a question. Is it possible at all to use SMART for other clients such as the official RuneScape desktop client? This way I could be able to control my computer while it is running in the background.

Really I am just trying to load a specific webpage in a quick little client I made with Visual Basic.

Idk a better way to do this, if you have a better method of going about doing this please let me know.

I'm trying to load a webpage to use a script on instead of the runescape client. I need to be able to use the script on a webpage and still be able to go about using my computer, pretty much replacing runescape botting with smart with website botting with smart.

Sorry if I'm not making sense here. :p

Not familiar with Appa.

The link never changes, neither does the webpage. I just need a script that types text in a box over and over again as fast as possible and clicking a confirm button.

Appa is perfect for what you want.

It looks very useful. I just don't know anything about it, let alone any coding lol. I'm not familiar with Simba, I'm just getting into it.

Would it be hard to make a script for what I want and make it use Appa? It's a very simple task on a webpage, just type and click over and over.

I think it'd be pretty easy. I'm not overly acquainted with Appa, but here's a basic lowdown on how I think it would go:

First off, you'd want to use Home's Appa include for a few things.

  • You'd use appa_NavigateTo('http://www.website.com'); to navigate to the site you want.
  • You'd use appa_ScrollTo(x, y); (x, y coordinates) to scroll to the position on the page that you want, if needed.
  • If interacting with forms, there are a number of routines you can use to fill & submit them:
    procedure appa_GetElements(out Result: TAppaElementArray);
  • procedure appa_GetForms(out Result: TAppaFormArray); function appa_ElementAction(const elIndex: Integer; const act: TAppaElementAction; const Param: AnsiString): AnsiString; function appa_FormElementAction(const FormIndex, elIndex: Integer; const act: TAppaElementAction; const Param: AnsiString): AnsiString;
  • But if not, you can then appa_Mouse(x, y, 0, 0, 0, true); to left-click.
  • Then a series of appa_SendKey(); using the proper byte as the parameter will type what you need.
  • Lastly, appa_Mouse() will help you move the mouse and click again, if needed.

Let me know if you need clarification on any individual item.

Thank you, very useful info. I'm very new to all this so I'll mess around with it and see what I can do. >_<
