Any SCAR developers?

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone in this community knows anything about SCAR scripts. I need to talk to someone who could possibly develop a SCAR script.

I checked out the scar-div forums but it is dead and no one would be able to help me there really. Not many people are active there like they are here.

Why do you want to use SCAR instead of simba?

Simba is pretty much the successor to SCAR; I can't think of anything you'd be able to do with SCAR that you wouldn't with Simba.

If you're set on using SCAR, I have some knowledge. Been years, though.

I don't want to login to a bot client on RS3, like SMART or something. I feel like it would be safer to use SCAR for what I want to bot in rs3. I couldn't find a script for what I want anyways for Simba. :s

I don't feel comfortable logging into the game though using simba's client.

SMART was originally built for SCAR, if I recall correctly. That said, it's possible to run Simba without SMART - just comment SMART out of the script you're using and select your client using the tool. Same as in SCAR.

So I could bot using the official RuneScape desktop client or a web client with Simba?

Theoretically. I've never tested it though, and I doubt most scripts are built for it, so if there's any difference in the way coordinates work between SMART and whichever client you're using it could break.

So which tool were you talking about? how do I choose which client I want to use?

Click the green crosshair here and drag it to whichever client you want to use.

Awesome! Thank you. All I would need to do is simply run my Simba script after selecting my client and it should work with other clients other than SMART?

Yes.

Also SCAR also uses SMART for Runescape lol

As @Renzanity; said, Simba isn't a bot. I suggest you read the thread he linked you to :p

SMART also isn't a client, and there is no provable difference between autoing with SMART versus without, as far as bans are concerned.
@adc; is also correct when he says that SMART was originally developed for SCAR (SMART once stood for SCAR Minimizing Autoing Resource Thing).

That being said, any Simba script can run without SMART with little to no modification. If not using SMART, Simba will take control of your mouse/keyboard and interact with an official RuneScape client, or a browser.

There's really no reason to use SCAR for anything, Simba can do everything & more, plus there's no support for SCAR here at Villavu.

You'll want to remove this:

  {$DEFINE SMART}

From the top of the script, but otherwise yes. Again, I haven't tested it, so no total guarantees :P.

I wasn't aware of being able to use Simba scripts with the official runescape client. Regardless if it's the same ban rate I would much rather prefer to bot without using SMART and the official RuneScape desktop client. I would imagine that the coordinates and other things would be different than they are in SMART's client so that would take some modifications.

However,I still haven't found the script I am looking for on any botting community. I am hoping someone could possibly make one here. I would prefer it to just be a Simba script now rather than SCAR.

Again you are correct. This will stop SMART from loading, and thus, stop Simba from pairing to SMART.

If there are any calls to SMART's includes (i.e. smartImage.drawText()), removing the $DEFINE will cause those declarations to be unknown. They'll have to be removed as well.

The choice between SMART & no SMART is yours, purely personal preference.

There is no difference between SMART and the official RS client. In fact, SMART is simply the official client loaded inside a JVM.
Thus, things like coordinates and colors stay constant across the two.

Converting a script to run without SMART is a simple task, consisting of removing SMART's $DEFINE (explained above) and possibly correcting some syntactical errors stemming from said removal.

If you can't find the script you need, there's a requests section.

Alright, thanks. I still have to get my hands on the script first. I can't seem to find one on here at all, it's only been requested but never made.

Botting on an official RuneScape client doesn't minimize your chance of ban even at the slightest chance?

I edited my previous post a bit, if you wish to go back and reread it, more information was added.

As to your question: to my knowledge, there has never been an established link between SMART and heightened chance of ban.

Likewise there has never been such a link between no SMART and lowered chance of ban.

It would be a trivial task for Jagex to detect SMART, and indeed Simba itself (with the caveat of the latter being more difficult than the former) but they simply don't. No one knows exactly why.

I might request it. I searched high and low for it and could only find two requests for it on this community but no one has officially made the script.

Say Jagex is looking into your account and investigating you for botting, right? Would it show that I was using the official RuneScape client if I was botting using SMART or would they be able to tell it's not their official client?

I deleted my link and will change it to this instead. SMART is not a bot client.

And your concern about SMART has a few threads on the S.M.A.R.T. section of the forum. Here's one 'click me'.

Botting is botting and against the rules, regardless which client you use. I understand that. But the links you provided me makes me want to consider not using SMART and risking botting on an official client of Jagex. Regardless if it is the same risk of ban I think it would be a tad bit safer to just bot without SMART.

You should not forget to scroll down and find this link though. 'Click me'

I encourage the use of SMART because it allows you to do all your auto'ing while still having access to your PC. Basically, SMART just runs your RS official client in a sandbox.

Plus, SMART has fabtext. ;D

But eitherway, it's your choice.

Have a good one.:)

I'm probably just going to say heck with it and bot using SMART. Everyone has their own say on it though. Either way like I said, I could still get banned for botting even if it's usin the official runescape client so might as well just use SMART to my advantage. :p

SMART provides a default useragent which I believe mimics Firefox 33(?), so no, it wouldn't just "show up" that you were using SMART. There would have to be specific detection methods in place.

The link was meant to illustrate some random nooby guy talking about SMART being a factor in bans … then all the experienced community members shutting him down with proof & evidence to the contrary.

Yeah, I'm convinced just to go ahead and use SMART now. I don't see the harm in it.

yeah i agree with adc. even though SCAR is powerful, Simba surpassed that so I'd stick to what the community is doing. but i don't know anything cause I'm new :P

As many had said before, you can use Simba to achieve the same stuff. The part that spawns own RS client is SMART.

I don't have much experience in writing scripts, but can confirm that it works. I have my custom bot script, which is working with full-screen RS3 window, the same UI setup I use when playing myself.
