SRL Archive - OSR Script Requests

Hey guys! I'm not very good at scripting, I've tried to get into it but just could never comprehend exactly how to do it, I've tried looking over all the guides and even tried scripting a couple things and just couldn't get it to work, so, without further adieu, my request. Thanks

Name - What would the script be called? Can be called anything the creator would like. Maybe, [creators name] Iron Miner.
What does the script do? and Where does it do it? It mines and drops iron ore in the Alkharid Mine.
What does the script achieve? Efficient mining training
f2p/p2p? any other level / skill / quest requirements? Could be FTP. Needs 15+ mining. No quest requirements.
Do you have an account with these requirements you could lend to a dev? No, however if you would like I can create an account F2P and get 15 mining for you.
Difficulty… (Easy/Medium/Hard): Easy

Additional notes:
-Do not need anything fancy
-Just a very simple script based off of color and dtm's for dropping.
-Maybe some very minor antiban features, as I will babysit the script. Such as random mouse movements, and opening skill panel/hovering over mining, and minor random click intervals on the rocks.
-Would like a proggy, but as I said, not necessary. Only want something simple, do not wish to strain anyone as I can't create it myself.
-Would like it to work via smart, so I can watch netflix

EDIT: The account using should also be atleast level 29 combat to prevent the scorpions from killing it. Can still furnish an account if you'd like.

You seem to have a decent idea of what the script should do and a basic understanding of colour and DTMs. I would encourage you to give scripting another go, because as it is, your script request is an excellent choice for a first script.

Which tutorials did you read, and what did you have trouble understanding?

I'm not sure, a lot of different ones. I've looked over these forums for a while, but their kind of sloppy, I don't know what to look at first, or last..

My very basic knowledge is what each thing does, though I don't know how to actually perform it, or create it.
-I know what a dtm is, but not how to use one. (just an example, this is my knowledge on everything regarding srl)
-I dont know proper syntax, form, layout
Basically, I know what SRL is, i just have no clue how to actually use it

It sounds to me like you're ready to start learning. Read this guide. It's for RS3 so some of the SRL-6 exclusive code won't work, but it helped me the most when I started writing scripts.

This isn't for RS3, its for OSRS, would it still work?

Unfortunately SRL was dedicated to RS3 for a while, and then Jagex had to go all desperate and release 07. An include was hastily written, but has been allowed to degrade over time. I've only ever scripted for RS3, but I would suggest looking at the AeroLib include and any tutorials on that which you can find.

I wrote one of those, actually, but it's only for RS3. Look at the red link in my signature. I would heavily suggest learning to script on RS3 first because that's what all of the extensive tutorials/etc were written for.

The methodology in terms of TPAs, DTMs and all of the common data structures in SRL are the same- The only stuff you would need to change is stuff like getTab(Inventory) - Not exact code because I can't remember, anything like that you just need to find the alternative for OSR-SRL, which is usually quite similar, if you start typing something in simba you can hit ctrl + space to see what options you have.
