Also you should play heroes of the storm because it isn't league. Its lack of gem knights is saddening, though.

I also received 4 beta keys not lon gago, but sadly, all were taken by friends. Anyway, yesterday reached lvl 30 and also have 10 champs, so ranked started :P Already in 49 :D

My friends brother in law wants to get in, so if you can't give them away to our members here I'll take one from you :)

Valla as über damage dealer.
Ilidian as dps/off-tank/full-tank according to the team's need.
Gazlowe for some fancy-mancy awesome plays :P (Usually leading my team in EVERY freaking stat (siege, heroe dmg, XP contrib))

I am not familiar with support, but if I have to I go with malfurion. Maybe sometime we coudl hook up for a duo? :)

But people are just jumping on the bandwagon now. The only ones worth playing imho are LoL and Dota 2 (possibly Smite but I dunno)

I agree. I played LoL for a while, mained Shen then quit before level 30. Picked up Dota 2 recently thanks to a friend and haven't put it down since. Wraith King is awesome.

I didn't realise Blizzard had their hands in this one … maybe that'll make it different from the others ;)

Slark is the only hero to play.

Hots' is a lot more "team" focused than other MOBAs… As in, team fights are forced through non-tower-based objective control.

Plus no last hitting. So that's a plus.

Don't even know who Slark is :p I'm the type that picks a single hero I'm comfortable with, and then never ventures out of that comfort zone.

No last hits, no towers? :S seems like a pretty radical spin on the tried-and-true MOBA formula. Hope they don't mess it up.

Sir, you just gotthe essence of it. It lacks the bad sides of moba games, the solo benefits. team is a team and they share a bunch of things, main component including this is the xp, which makes it an awesome one. Finished LoL in Gold II maybe …

I switched over because the games average much shorter in length ~20 min. Makes it easier to hop on and get a couple quick matches in. Toxicity also feels less common since the games are so short; there is less investment and most people just look towards the next game. I'd definitely give it a go with the current hero rotation :)

Play more. I haven't had "genuine" fun like this from a moba… ever. Lots of funnnn.

There are games other than Runescape?

I got the beta invitation but never used it. Don't think I'll ever use.

HotS is literally "babby's first moba".

No gold management, no item management. Games are won when teams use very basic strategies because most games are PUGs and since there's no in-game voice communication it makes teamwork when not playing with friends very difficult. Otherwise, it's a very simple and fun game, considering I came from 5K MMR on Dota 2. A breath of fresh air alongside SMITE. The constant cycle of maps and their special traits are what makes HoTS.

You could definitely follow it. In my experience though, you will NOT be very good. I am actually exceptionally awful and require constant coaching when I play with Taric. If I'm not getting coached and actively helped I'm usually just sacrificing my life to give the other team better stats.
