SRL Archive - RS3 Help

I have problem with syntax:

type TPointPointer = ^TPoint;

var P : TPoint;
var i : integer;
begin
  P := Point(8,9);
  i := integer(@P);
  writeln(^TPoint(i)); //  Error: Operator expected at line 9
  writeln(TPointPointer(i));  // works
end.    

So compiler complains about "operator expected". I can fix it creating new type with name without sign '^' ,but is it really needed ?

writeln(TPoint(Pointer(i)^));
