My guess is that the string contained some utf16 char that caused the weird behavior on simba.
A minor issue, deleting it and typing again fixed the bug, just find this interesting.

In some languages words are read from right to left. It seems you've got invisible char from one of those font set.

If it happens again, print Ord(Str[2]) to get the value it's recognising as the space/second and third char.

The Arabic language charset (right to left as bg5 mentioned) does this. Japanese is right to left but does not do this.

This also happens when you try to listen to keyboard presses.
For CTRL + Key the input string looks like this:
Notice in the CTRL+A case, there's only one visible ' but still legit code.
