In past I (maybe be 2/3 years ago), I was able to bot long hours like 30+ hrs few days in a row without brakes. Never got banned. Now I botted like 2 days for about 26hr and got banned! Did jagex finally figured out antibot system, or is it just bot scripters are getting lazier to add anti bans :) or jagex 2 stronk?

I think jagex uses similar patterns to detect bots. If you use a public script, youre prob going to get caught. If you use a private or modified script, you should be fine. I have botted for 3 weeks and just achieved 72hours straight, no bans.

Jagex has gotten stronker, but as Unfold said, be smart and you'll be fine.

be smart

I see what you did there :p

If you slightly modify public scripts and maybe add breaks (especially for very common methods) it should improve your longevity. But yes, Jagex has definitely stepped it up a bit in terms of their BotWatch, especially if you're referring to way way back when Rsbot was king and very few people stayed/came here.

RS3 always throws an exception upon loading (even in the official client and the browser):

Error: client.init:1155 sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0 sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke:57 sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke:43 java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke:601 Rs2Applet.a:61 Rs2Applet.init:395 app.appletviewer.a:534 jagexappletviewer.main:6 | java.lang.RuntimeException |

The above exception gets thrown no matter what tool you use to load the RS3 jar and it prints the entire call stack to the console.. Don't know if they actually send it to their servers, but it would actually be smart on their part if they did.

RS3 is pretty much the same.

OSRS is the problem because it's a tight community. It's a lot easier to get reported now days. I firmly believe that Jagex's bot detection is still the same, and that manual bans have increased.

You hear a lot more of people being banned which can only make you believe Jagex have stepped up their game. Although I do believe it's purely down to how sensibly you bot, and what you're botting. If you're a goldfarmer with 10 f2p accounts, i'm pretty sure that's asking for a perm ban.

if you have like 10 accounts on the same ip on, is that an instant ban?

I am testing my 1st powerminer script with my alt now (100+ hours, 15h per day), everything still fine.

Yeah. I used to bot 24/7 with rsb.net bots when they were around, hardly got banned on any of my accounts.

Now I botted for 20 hours in a couple of days and got banned. This was at rockcrabs so I expected it, but yeeah getting banned is never fun.

Now I only use my scripts.

No RS has seriously stepped up its game in terms on Bot Detection systems. Got like 48-hour ban followed by 7-day trading/wildy ban from babysitting a script from PB for 20 minutes (herb cleaner one). Botted like several 99's (like 15 on a few accounts) back in the day (2007-2012) and never got banned. I heard it's cause they can detect PB client or something that's why I turned to this.

I think as of recently, Jagex has been much more lenient about banning… I've superheated millions of xp and botted a few million incandescent energies, sometimes irresponsibly, and I haven't been banned yet. I haven't seen or heard of any bans aside from the suicide botters / gold farmers. Just dont wet clay 24/7 and you should probably be pretty safe for now. Of course Jagex could detect and ban you at any point, but as of recently they don't seem to want to.

You probably shouldn't gravedig threads, but I think it's an interesting discussion to see what botting is like over this summer. Botting PB is the worst thing you can do right now because I believe that the client is detectable.
